I ordered this for my Kindle less than 48 hours ago, and I couldn't put it down. It is exactly what I have been looking for. There are some people who just instinctively know how to act and what to do in this life to realize their potential. There are others, like me, who have been through truly painful experiences that continue to hold us back. I have been searching for a way to analyze events, relationships, etc., in a manner that would help me figure out what direction to go in. It has all been at my fingertips, but I just didn't know how to put it all together. This book is life altering for me. EVERYTHING clicked for me as I read it. It was a joy to read. I know exactly where to start and how to move forward now. It connected all of the dots in my thoughts. It is brilliant, truly brilliant. Every word of it rang true for me. I don't know how these two men were able to word it so beautifully and concisely, but they did it. It all makes sense and it will change the world if we let it. The friendship part really gave me the insight I craved regarding my relationships. I didn't know how to figure out what was going wrong with my friendships and why I felt so uncomfortable around some people. I get it now. I wish I could shout from the rooftops to everyone I love...."Go buy this book immediately and read every word!"

Bought for Kindle PC and could not quit reading it. I thank God Glenn is so transparent and Keith is able to define each element with such clarity. The combination spoke to my soul and freed myself from the sins of my past. It's good to know I'm not alone. I feel one step closer - and eager to move on and live life to my potential for myself, my family, my friends and my God. Thank you Glenn & Keith.

So, I only bought the book last night and read through about 100 pages before I could stop. If you are looking for an uplifting book that is MOSTLY apolitical, this is a great read. If you are looking for a scripture treatise, this is not it, however, you will find nothing in here that is contradictory to any of the mainstream Christian faiths. Instead, the authors draw wisdom from many sources and faiths. Life changer? Maybe. Honest? Yes. Encouraging? Absolutely! I'll finish it up this weekend.

Excellent book! Excellent family values! Something to read and discuss with your children especially preteens who are so vulnerable to peer pressure and heading down the path of rebellion. Teach them how to think for themselves and the other options available for them other than following the crowd. How to have self-value which will give them a brighter future.

Truth - I have not finished this book, but I am overwhelmed by the truth (there is that word again) of Glenn and Keith's writings. I, too, have found these principles to be authentic and undeniable. In some ways, these 7 principles are simple yet we, in our humanness, make so complex...a paradox of our own making.
I wanted to write this review because I was 'blown away' by the statements and examples that resonate also in my life.

Am not reading this quickly, because I want to digest and absorb it very well. It is NOT boring and quite remarkable how the human spirit can change is such wondrous ways.

Candidly written. Great insights. Will be helpful to many; not everyone. Five stars for content, readability, concision, and transparency many of us would do well to emulate.

Btw... what's going on with all the 1 star ratings of this book based on problems with the Kindle? That's weird. Probably just a random mistake, I suppose. After all, Beck's critics believe intentional misleading / dishonesty are wrong, right?

It's all about being human. Emotional loss, physical loss, psychological loss and letting go.
How do we handle the life that God has given us? What are the choices we make when things don't turn out the way we demand?

How do we handle success? Gain, reward, accolades and yes-people?

What do we have within ourselves that allow us to take loss with dignity and gain with humility?

The answers of the world are that you are being punished, taken advantage of, or humiliated by awful people. The world teaches you to hate. "...being hateful and angry is a very handy shield from the truth. It lets you focus on everyone else's shortcomings, and all the ways they've let you down."

But, Glenn and Keith tell you to take responsibility for your life in Seven areas:
1. Courage
2. Faith
3. Truth
4. Compassion
5. Friendship
6. Family
7. Common Sense

I have often wondered why so much hatred is aimed at Glenn, who in this dialogue with Keith, uncover great spiritual truths. The answer is excuses. The people who want excuses for the horrible things they say and do to others. The best way is to project their hatred on someone who is genuinely trying to do good and tell truth.

So Romantic!
I'm reading the book now, and I am finding it very helpful. The book concentrates on Glenn Beck as an ordinary man, who has experienced his share of life's burdens. He talks candidly and openly about how he lost everything, learns WHY he lost everything and managed to find a way out, and into a... Read More
