Format: Paperback
Trashy book widely marketed by internet spam. Unappealing content, poorly written. (I've seen "New Age," and this stuff isn't even New Agey - a lot of it just seems like incoherent nonsense.)

Nothing to see here - do not waste your money. (And as for the positive reviews - well, take a look at what other books they've reviewed.)

Format: Paperback
The Sex God: no mud no lotus by Ben Belenus is an honest, candid and open look at one individual's sexual experiences throughout life. The author exposes his inner thoughts and feelings on a topic that he feels should be celebrated and not put under wraps due to reserve or inhibition, as it is a natural occurrence that is neither seedy nor dirty. Love, one night stands and his own sexual urges are described in much detail, alongside his sexual viewpoints and thoughts on relationships as a whole, with a psychological point of view as well. By being open one can share their vulnerability and pleasures, so that it brings people closer together with enjoyment so as to strengthen the bond between them. Sex is a basic instinct and one that holds no shame when you share it with a partner, as it can strengthen the connection between you whilst gaining a great deal of satisfaction and pleasure. It is interesting how the book reveals the male mindset and way of thinking behind such things that can be considered contrasting to women's and I certainly feel that it adds to the book's uniqueness, and originality compared to those with a different narrative voice.

It gives the reader a rare insight into the workings of the male mind that perhaps is a little different to what the perceived notion is by women; in that men only think of sex. There are many intricate, detailed and explicit descriptions of sex hence why this book will not be for everyone, although I do think that many readers who are interested in what Ben Belenus has to say will be most intrigued and fascinated by it. It is quite graphic as the author does go into meticulous detail whilst discussing his journey, from boyhood to infidelities and deep love.

Format: Paperback
This is a totally open and honest account of one man's sexual conquests throughout his life. The loves, the one-night stands and sometimes just sexual urge to fulfill himself. The conquests and relationships he finds himself in are not just explained from a sexual point of view, the psychological point of view is also explained.

The book is no hold bars and will not be a book for everyone to read, if you are offended by sexual explicit terms and very descriptive sexual text then this is not a book for you.

The honesty the author share about the women involved, the actions and positions they experience, just go to show us that sex is natural and shouldn't be seen as seedy or dirty. By being open and sharing your vulnerability or enjoyment it can bring people together and through intimacy can strengthen the bond.

I think that through the book the author is trying to tell us that sex is a basic instinct and if a willing partner is to be found there is no shame in any of the behaviour that follows between them.

As I have stated the book is extremely descriptive and a little too explicit for my taste, although a great insight into how men in general see and think about sex.
