This movie is one of the best films ever made that is based on a Stephen King book.
It's for these reasons that make it understandable why "The Shining" is one of those horror movies that even non-horror fans can really like.
For me, that one horror film was this masterpiece, Stanley Kubrick's "THE SHINING".

|The USA release is 144 minutes!||
I wish there was a way to see the first version that was released in the states that includes a scene in the hospital with Wendy, Danny and Ullman. I remember seeing the movie in the theaters with my dad, but we must have gone after Kubrick pulled the movie and cut that scene out.

I can confirm since I bought both U.S. 144min. version on DVD , then Blu-Ray , and U.K. 119min. version on DVD that the commentary track is the same one on both
