Book Description

Twelve-year-old Arnold Cook has lost his memory. His only clues are the strange clothing he’s wearing and the mysterious lights that appeared in the night sky above where he was found, unconscious, in the small town of Seaburgh.

Arnold soon discovers he isn’t an ordinary boy. An ordinary boy couldn’t atomize the school bully, reducing him to a pile of dust. Or make an out of this world pool shot that would baffle the pros. With the help of a determined social worker and a zany vice-principal, Arnold learns his true identity and the vital role he plays in safeguarding the welfare of all dimensions.

The Silver Earth Seed is a middle grade/young adult fantasy book. Also for those of us adults who enjoy a good fantasy adventure into other worlds filled with magic!

5.0 out of 5 stars From the view of the artist January 8, 2012
By Rachel
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
My name is Rachel and I am the artist that painted the cover of The Silver Earth Seed (AKA: TSES). I thought it was prudent to hear from the artist side. For fact sake I used acrylic on hard backed canvas.
Getting to the point. The book is clean, easy, and leaves enough openings for an exciting series. It's good for ages 8 and up and anyone a fan of young adult fiction fantasy. If you want something to contend with top magical fantasies you should try Morris's book.

- Rachel Lee Hammond-Valencia

P.S. In case you feel this is somehow profitable for me, it isn't. I receive nothing for his novel's sales. Just pride in being apart of something GREAT!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great middle grades fantasy book! December 6, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I was given a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for my review...

I was a little leery of this book at first. I thought it was going to be a little dull, even a little strange. Then I got past the fist chapter and I was pulled in! I just couldn't put the book down!

The main characters in the book have personalities that you're drawn to, you can relate to them, and they seem real. They are kids with feelings and loyalties and humor!

I don't like to give the story away in my reviews, but this is a great book! It's geared for middle grade students and it's right on the mark. I'm an adult, but I still loved the book and hope I get to see a sequel soon! This would make a great series!

I would highly recommend this book for any middle grade aged student or anyone who enjoys that type of fantasy/sci-fi fiction.

Happy Reading =}

I was captivated the minute I began reading "The Silver Earth Seed" from the start. The author Grant Morris pulled me in to the point that I could not stop reading until the end. His writing is creative, imaginary and witty. I look forward to his sequel to this book, and hopefully the many more that will follow. Thanks Grant!
