These are charming cards, entirely in black & white; the major arcana are whimsical, and delightful enough to make this deck worthwhile. They lose a star because overall, the deck has a couple of drawbacks: the pip cards are not illustrated beyond the numbers and suit emblems; and the backs of the cards are not especially attractive (they just have two white hands on a black background; but at least they are reversible). The LWB is better than many; although it has tiny print (the cards themselves are a little smaller than regular playing cards), it has 31 pages, in English, and in addition to the interpretive material, illustrates some interesting spreads and sample readings.
