A refreshing book with great recipes and real food in its purest and most natural form. It's not only a good idea, but a life-enhancing one.
-Mariel Hemingway, actress (Mariel Hemingway 2013-03-25)

Natasha Kyssa has inspired countless people to take charge of their health and improve their lives by eating .real food for real life.. Her easy, scrumptious, plant-empowered recipes (along with her mom's .kitchen whizdom!.) opens your eyes and taste buds to a whole (and fresh) new way of life. The SimplyRaw Kitchen is simply fabulous!

-Dr. Neal Barnard, founder/president of the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (Dr. Neal Barnard 2013-04-30)

Natasha saved me from my isolated efforts as a raw vegan, and helped me to completely blossom and thrive. I feel like the very best years of my life are still ahead of me, and moving forward I know I can share with my own family her recipes, stories, and knowledge. I am blessed to have Natasha as a friend and a mentor. I am nourished and grateful.
-Bif Naked (Bif Naked 2013-05-02)

Natasha Kyssa skillfully dispels the myths about raw veganism and shows you just how elementary, accessible, fun and delicious healthy eating can be. Taking the reader step-by-step through her personal journey and the hows, whys, and recipes that follow, you'll find yourself wondering why you didn't start eating raw years ago!
-Rich Roll, vegan athlete and author of Finding Ultra (Rich Roll 2013-05-02)

Chock-full of great information and recipes that are highly accessible with simple ingredient lists and dishes that can be prepared with ease. . . Try these scrumptious recipes from The Simply Raw Kitchen. Your body AND your taste buds will thank you!
-MV Magazine (MV Magazine 2013-09-10)

A good guide for anyone wanting to go high raw or looking for more plant-based goodness in general. The recipes are plentiful and pictures drool-worthy.
-Two Classy Chics (Two Classy Chics 2013-09-17)

I applaud the latest book by vegan and raw food evangelist Natasha Kyssa ... Natasha's kitchen [offers] a new repertoire of mostly bright, beckoning flavours I had no idea could be achieved minus the usual burners, oven or even a modest hotplate.
-Ottawa Citizen (Ottawa Citizen 2013-10-04)

The recipes are simple and easy to follow-from delicious salads and dressings to sumptuous pastas alternatives and desserts. The book is so accessible and inclusive that even the most meat-loving person can get on board and incorporate some of these ideas into their diet.
-WHERE Ottawa (WHERE Ottawa 2014-01-08)

So many think eating raw food is boring or bland -- or just downright hard to do. But The SimplyRaw Kitchen flips that mentality on its head. Not only are the recipes in this cookbook easy for anyone to make, they're delicious! -Fit Bottomed Eats (Fit Bottomed Eats 2014-05-20)

The recipes are concise and easy to follow. Even the few cooked recipes that are meant for transitioning look better than most cookbooks have to offer. I don't usually write reviews even though I have most raw food books but I really wanted to with this one. I had been full raw for over a year at one point then went back and forth with vegetarian and vegan trying to get back to the health that I felt when eating only raw. It's been a long road back because of not having simple, real recipes that promised something other than hum drum meals or meals that took a whole day to prepare. This book offers that. It offers lots of time saving tips. Not only does it show you how to make nut milk but how to make it in a pinch out of nut butter. OR making simple coconut flour etc. Things that I had never thought of before. Why I don't know. Plus the restaurant quality recipes have obviously been researched very well with consideration given to what works best compared to what are fads in raw food circles. The recipes are up to date as far as what you would find in a raw food restaurant today. Not surprising since the author owns and operates one in Canada. All in all this is a must have for those eating raw now or for anyone even considering a transition to raw food.

Great book overall. The recipes are simple and do not need too much advanced prep time. However the index is listed by item and not by subject. Such as if I wanted cake or dessert, I would have to look up the item by name like chocolate almond butter cup. So the subjects like: pie, soups, cookies, mylks, are not listed in the back like that. You have to know exactly what item you are looking for and it makes it difficult and you have to search. There are some nice photos with recipes on the pages and nice short stories. I like the book and after a while you get the idea of the recipes and can experiment. I wish there were more listings for substitutions. Good book and worth the price.

I LOVE this book! It's become my raw bible!! The recipes are both incredible & really easy to make. I wish I could say I have just 1 favorite recipe, but I honestly can't. I have so many different favorites in this book that I love to make. I couldn't choose just 1. I am completely satisfied with this book and I feel anyone who buys it will also be! I can't wait for Natasha's 3rd book! I'm soooo getting it!

Most of the recipes I have tried in this book are really great. A couple seem to have some issues with the amount of ingredients needed like the linzer bars. The "cookie" part did not hold up at all like it should have. But the rum balls are awesome and most everything else I've made from this book has been great. Definitely recommend.
