I buy all of the Prima Sims guides and really enjoy reading them before I even launch the game. Some things that purchasers of previous guides might like to know: 1. The large magazine size format is back. I'm really happy about this. The cute little ones were great for travel, but this is a lot easier to read. The pictures are a bit easier to see too. 2. The pages aren't as glossy and high quality as some of the other guides, but I did not find this that annoying. 3. The book comes with a free copy of the e-guide and a free interactive Moonlight Falls map! There's a code in the middle of the book. This helps with the whole travel thing especially since the book is larger now. It's a win-win.

That's all about the physical properties of the book itself, so let me talk a bit about content. I still miss the sims 2 books. They always had a lot more detailed and seemed to contain every fact you'd want to know. I find that often with the Sims 3 guides, and this is unfortunately a bit the case with this guide, the writer relies too heavily on copying and pasting descriptions from the game and doesn't actually tell you the info that you'd want to know. Here's an example; there's an entire list of moodlets that's several pages long but all that's in there is the description from the game of the moodlet. The guide doesn't tell you how you would get that moodlet. There's several pages of tables on the alchemy skill, but the info in the table isn't well explained. With all of that being said, though, this guide did give more info than I anticipated it would compared to some of the other Sims 3 guides. It provides good info on the benefits and difficulties with each Supernatural type. There's clear info on the new career, CAS changes, and I was especially pleased to see that it really does provide you the info all the things that are new with the EP. All new skill challenges are discussed, all new collectables and harvestables are listed. The more and more I read of this book, the more I was pleased. There are good maps of Moonlight Falls. There are great comprehensive lists of all the collectables, harvestables, fish, all of that sort of thing for all EP. That's hard to find. All in all, I think this guide could be a little bit better, but I'm really overall pleased with it. It contains a good amount of info, particularly the comprehensive lists. I'm happy with my purchase. If you enjoy reading the guides, then I think you'll be pretty happy with this one overall even if a few things could be improved upon. If you're just looking for game info, then you could probably find most of this info online for free, but it's really great having it in one easy place like this. Also, so far, I have not found many errors in this guide, which is sometimes a problem.

I think this guide is full of helpful information. There is so much to do with this expansion pack. I am not sure how long it would take me to find out everything on my own without the guide. For instance:

1. Bonehilda the (live-in) skeletal maid.

2. Ghosts are much improved: drowning victims appear as cool blue spirits, starvation victims return as little purple spirits, electrocution victims have coursing currents and sims dying of old age are ghostly white phantoms. These are just a few examples.

3. Vampires do not buy plasma orange juice instead they "steal it" from the grocery store. If vampire becomes immortal they are no longer affected by sunlight.

4. Human form is not the "true form" for fairies, they live in tiny fairy houses.

I played the game for a few hours. Then decided to take a look at the guide and these are just a few things I discovered skimming through the guide quickly. I wondered why the ghosts were different colors, LOL.

I like that this is a full-sized guide, which is much easier to read. I like to buy the guides for each expansion pack when I can find them. I think EA did an excellent job with this guide.

I think this may be the very best and informative Prima Guide yet on the Sims3 Supernatural. There are so many specifices to know about and it's all needed information. The Sims3 Supernatural is a massive Game! I need to refer to it everyday!
