The Situation has a lot of good ideas and exercises in this DVD. I feel like its an extremely simplified version of p90x with about 1/10 of the material and instruction. This is a very good casual workout DVD, and I would recommend it to someone who isn't crazy about fitness but wants to improve their shape a bit.

I was doing a segment of this workout with moderately HEAVY weights and it was an INTENSE quick workout. As a guy who trains; on a scale from "A breeze to ridiculously hard" I rate this as "not a joke" seriously. I actually have the DVD, notice the review dates, this came out November 23, 2010.

When I saw that The Situation had a workout video I just had to get it. I used to be an aerobics instructor and personal trainer and know all the basic exercise moves and was surprised to see some new ones in this video that I was not familiar with! I am a fan of The Situation, so just having him on a workout video is enough to motivate me to exercise and he makes it fun! After doing the same thing over and over (watching the same dvds and the same instructors), I was so happy to find something and someone new to add to my exercise library! I hope he makes some more exercise dvds.

Also, I liked that he had another male and a female doing the exercises while he talks to us, but it seemed weird that he didn't call her by name - he kept saying "my girl" when he referred to her. I would have liked him to refer to her by her name. The guy, Unit, is one of Mike's long-time friends. I would have LOVED to see other Jersey Shore cast members in the video - maybe in the next one???

I think it is really cool of The Situation to give a free 10-minute download of some of his ab exercises. I think that is a stand up thing to do because not many people are giving away free downloads.

One major plus about this dvd is that it is divided into 5 sections: one on upper body, one on arms, one on glutes and legs and two on abs. That's a plus when you only want to work on upper body or only want to work on legs, etc. You can customize you own workout and do what you want on the days you want. And I have to say, his "secret exercise" is really cool!!

When I was reading some of the negative comments, it reminded me of when The Situation talks about haters - he says it right in his exercise video! And it's true, these people making these negative comments are all just jealous haters!

The best part of this workout DVD is watching Situation provide 2 or 3 rep examples of exercises, then stop completely to make bad jokes and criticize his buddy "Unit" and two random fitness chicks (one with a glaring gap in her two front teeth, yikes) as they keep doing another two dozen or so repetitions, at times visibly in pain. The Situation rambles badly, and if you have seen the viral blooper real for this DVD it is obvious what was included is simply the best of a lot of very bad takes. The best parts of the DVD: a) Situation does the wrong exercise for two reps and gets called out by "Unit", b) Situation accidentally calls his buddy "butter" instead of "brother" and "Unit" unfortunately retorts "I get spread like butter" thinking it witty, c) pretty much everything else.
What is obvious from this workout DVD is the exercises are not easy, and although the juiced up idiots are juiced up idiots, they are still strong and as they suffer, the fat American shall suffer 20x worse. As a comedy DVD, it is well worth the price (whoever slapped the footage together was well aware how ridiculous their star is and there is a clear passive aggressive tone throughout), and even the worst haters will enjoy this for the train wreck it is.

I've never watched JS. From what I do know about that show is from clips from other shows and SNL skits. Anyway, I bought this DVD since Sitch does have a great body and I was looking for a new workout DVD.

He can't even count ("we have 10 or 15 seconds left") and admits he's not a fitness expert. He doesn't have proper form most of the time and his other 2 helpers had different form than he had in some of the segments.

The ab exercises, some I'd never heard of before & that was a good thing.

Yes, just turn down the localized Jersey rhetoric and after that the user has five workouts that have a varying degree of difficulty depending upon the age and the condition of the participant.
I work out every day, but I must state that the legs and abs 15 minute segments were very challenging to me.
Overall, I like the option of doing one 15 minute segment in the morning before work and one 15 minute segment in the evening after work.
Naturally, the intensity of this workout will vary as well depending upon what weight of dumbbell is being used. I use the 15 # dumbbells and hope to start using 20# bells next.
I can tell that I am getting stronger by using this DVD.

In all honesty, I have never seen Jersey Shore...and I probably never will...i only bought this dvd to see if it was worth the 10 or 11 buck i paid....and HONESTLY!...to my surprise...its actually a decent workout FOR ABS...his timing sucks...but if you combine both the AWESOME ABS segment and INSANE ABS segment,the two will give you a pretty decent abs workout (about 25 minutes roughly of strict decent ab workout)....its quick..he is funny...not a stand up comic but silly...

I recommend this for someone just interested in working out the abs....add jump rope...and about 20 mins jog 3 times a week..and the SITUATION...WILL GIVE YOU...YOUR SITUATION!....
