I recently purchased the Sleep technician's pocket guide wich I enjoyed very much. The pocket format is an exceptional idea and very functional and easy to consult. However, I would like to alert you to a mistake I found on pages 32-33: the text below the titles has been repeated. The title "pen blocking" has the text to the title electrode popping.
Thanks and regards,
Israel Roitman

This reference has everything a polysomnographer would need as a reference. I've already told several friends and instructors about it. It includes information on head measuring, staging, medications, ECG and numerous other reference materials. If you are a sleep tech you won't want to work without it!!!

This little pocket guide helped me the first time I needed to stage and make notations regarding sleep disturbances. The other techs in the lab thought the book was right on.

I purchased this while I was first getting into sleep study. I am a Respiratory Therapist and decided to specialize in sleep. This book was a handy little item to have with me while actually hooking Patients up and while monitoring them over night. It is a good study guide to use and a great reference to use. It goes along well with the AASM scoring guidelines. I would recommend this to new students and for the RPSGT that's been in the business for awhile.

I started as a sleep tech a year ago and I puchased this pocket guide a few weeks after. I still consult this handy little book all of the time, it is great when you have a question about medications and how they effect sleep or if you are trying to identify a specific EGK abnormality, or any other question that might plague you in the middle of the night during a study. A very nice guide that I would highly recomend!!
