Book Description

Ambitious illegal Immigrant Wale Ademola has the perfect solution to avoid deportation: a contract marriage to attractive stranger, Jennifer Lennox. Nothing could possibly go wrong- that is until Jennifer makes a demand that threatens to jeopardize Wale’s greatest desire.
Sheltered Christian housewife Sade Williams thinks nothing of secretly working behind her husbands back. When a devastating discovery at home causes Sade to question the integrity of her marriage and faith, she turns to her charming colleague, Wale for comfort. And then the unthinkable happens…
Embittered by a wrecked contract and a shattered heart, Jennifer Lennox sets on the warpath of vengeance…
Twisted in a web of infidelity, deceit and lies, three individuals must battle insurmountable challenges- on a journey across two continents- to discover that it is in the midst of despair, confusion and desperation that God’s unconditional; all- consuming love shines the brightest.

****What readers are saying:****
“Intriguing, compelling and like a good novel has several twists and turns to make it so darn unpredictable.” Betty Irabor, Genevieve Magazine.

“Full of twists, turns and suspense…with one central conclusion: God is the saving grace. A must read that will resonate with many whether you are a Christian or not.” Uduak O-Ladybrille Magazine, Nigeria

“Great book! I didn't drop till I was done.” Kunbi S

“I read a lot of novels and more recently novels by African & African-Americans authors and I must say your novel is definitely on par with them and I’ll be recommending it.” Tosin O

“Gripping, well written and packed with suspense. Abimbola beautifully captured the reality of modern day Christian living and at the same time told an exciting, romantic tale. I couldn't put this book down!” Toks A

“Just a beautiful, well written, engaging novel. I do believe it will minister to a lot of married and single women. God definitely put this in your heart for our generation. I'm awed!” Bukky A

“This is a wonderful book with an excellent storyline; funny in the right places without diminishing its purpose. Christian fiction is a genre which doesn't seem popular; I've read a couple online and they have been okay, but this one I have to say, really captivated me.” Folake B

“Beautiful, well written, I am so moved by it, words can't explain.” Bola O

“A cleverly written piece…you sure have one fan here.” Bukky A

"The Small Print lived beyond my imagined standard. That's why after that one time, I journeyed several times more, I've lost count. The Small Print is one brilliant book very rare to find." Chuka

4.0 out of 5 stars Gritty and yet very moving December 12, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This is an amazingly fast read, with loads of suspense that kept me guessing till the end. Even though this is a Christian inspirational novel, there is no loud preaching voice shoving memory verses down the reader's throat. The author uses her characters as marvellous works in progress to illustrate the message of the book, which is that the word of God stands the test of time and will deliver those who believe in it during times of trouble.

The main characters in the book (they're the ones on the cover) are so true to life that it is easy to get totally engaged in their miseries as well as their triumphs. Wale is a Nigerian immigrant into the UK and is ready and willing to do anything to remain in the country rather than return to his ailing mother and sister in the slums of Lagos. Sade is a beautiful young Nigerian woman hemmed in by her older husband's insecurity and her own childlessness. Jennifer is a British woman whose first mistake is falling in love with Wale when all he wanted was a marriage of convenience.

How does the lives of these characters collide? What mistakes do they make and what are the lessons we can learn from them? Read this book and find out.

5.0 out of 5 stars A masterful story-telling September 14, 2012
By Sola
Intriguing, Engaging, Inspiring! Every page is worth the read.

Abimbola has done a fantastic job crafting believable characters and engaging scenarios. In delving into the very heart of infidelity, infertility, lust, greed and insecurities; she is not afraid to push her characters beyond their comfort zones, test their boundaries and bring them full circle to who they really are. This is the story of hope that clings to the power of redemption in spite of adversity.

Sade, Bode, Wale and Jennifer, the main characters, are thrown into a web of lies, greed, lust and obsession. It took series of tragedy and God's saving grace to pry them from the downward spiral of destruction they were headed. So well written, this book can stand confidently beside any bestseller. And the message of the cross, though not intrusive, is well entwined with the plot such that it cannot be ignored.

Thumbs up!

5.0 out of 5 stars I couldn't put it down....this book needs a sequel! January 2, 2013

I spent nearly half my work day reading this book smh.
The story was beautifully written. For me as a believer, it has just reminded me that trusting God in all things should be the priority. No matter how bad things are, I should never try to do things my own way because He always has a much better plan if I just wait on Him.
I think you should have them make this into a movie, Abimbola lol.
If there were more stars, I'd give this book ten!

5.0 out of 5 stars The Small Print June 24, 2012
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
The Small Print is an excellant example of Christian Writing! The characters are believable and the situations are daily life. Many people think that a Christian does not face the sitiuations portrayed here BUT Christians do have these same types of situations and the underlying message here is that if you are able to 'Let go (of the situation) and Let God (handle it)'..He will never leave you or let you down. This is done without Preaching. I just began it on my Kindle yesterday and have a very hard time putting it down. It is fast moving, a wonderful read. A great witness to the concept that 'All things work together for the good of those that love God'. I am SO looking forward to what this author has for a 'next' project, as she manages to address the earthy issues- without foul language and violence. Beautifully done!

This book wasn't just interesting, it was inspiring, encouraging, spiritual and motivating.

It truly showcases different aspects of everyday life experience:

- the power of 'forgiveness'
- the feeble the human heart at difficult times
- And how far faith carry you through it all.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Small Print is a Big Hit!!! November 20, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This book is by far the best book I have read. Abimbola Dare has a God given talent at writing. There are several stories taking place at once, but it is not confusing. The characters are believable and evolve throughout the book. It takes you across continental lines with an ease and familiarity that makes you believe you have been there before. Although the characters never set foot in a church and there are no sermonettes, this book honors God. It challenged my personal thoughts and beliefs as a Christian. Excellent work !!! The best in Christian fiction. Can't wait to read the next great work from this author!!!
