Every room in this book was gorgeous. However, unless you are a mural painter (or know one who will give you a break) or have a very large budget, then only about one third of the information contained in it will be helpful to you. Some of the rooms even required built-in nooks in the walls for the beds. It was a little more elaborate then I had anticipated--some of the designs painted on the walls were amazing, and there is no way someone who is not artistic (like myself) could even begin to attempt them.I just wanted some ideas for my daughter's room, not something that would make me sick because it was so beautiful and I couldn't do it! It is a great book, just be warned that you need a fairly large budget, or the artistic talent of Michelangelo.

I just wanted some help to decorate my kid's room... what I got was a book that drew me in. This well-written book is colorful and educational, full of beauty and ideas. It is enjoyable, readable, and "do-able." I could not have chosen a better book to assit in this project.

Finally, a guide for designing and decorating children's and teen's rooms that makes sense. From solidly presented advice and tips which are presented in every chapter, to a most innovative section dedicated to designing for the special needs child, this book will grab your attention and hold it until your project is completed.

My husband and I have 3 children ranging from age 11 to age 7. We had several ideas about what we wanted and this book helped us to refine our ideas. The kids were very excited because they could look at pictures and discuss what they liked and didn't like about the suggestions.
