1 of 1 people found the following review helpful By Stacey Stroud on November 17, 2012
Although I have not actually purchased this DVD, I have purchased all of the other Smurf episodes that have been re-released on DVD in stores over the course of approximately the past two years. After seeing a copy of this release in stores recently, I carefully read its description on the back of the DVD. This Season 1, Volumn 1 DVD of the Smurfs is exactly like the orginally released DVD Season 1, Volumn 1 of the Smurfs that was released in 2009, simply with a different cover. I am not sure why they decided to re-release this DVD with a different cover, but that seems to be the case. So, if you purchased the first releases of Season 1, there is no reason to purchase this one because as far as I can tell, it contains all of the same episodes as the first release. It is a great DVD... but I have no reason for buying a second copy of the same episodes just for the new cover.
