Book Description

I, Joey Michaels, am the Snowball Fight Professional.

Basically this means that customers pay me to shoot snowballs at other people. I’ll use the profits to buy Grandma a gift so impressive that she’ll give me a puppy for Christmas. Unless, of course, my cousin Winston has anything to do with it ...

Earning the puppy wouldn’t be so hard if I didn’t have the following problems:
1) Winston stealing my employee
2) Winston getting me in trouble every time I do something wrong
3) Winston blaming me for things I don’t even do

If I don’t get the puppy ... ugh, Winston will get him. And Christmas should be all about what I want, right?

The Snowball Fight Professional is Book 2 in the Fun4Hire Series.

“Hilarious action adventure that will have you hunting for your snow gear. The perfect winter read!”
Novelist and Mom

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect family read for the season November 14, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
We read this book as a family at night; we all took turns reading. We all loved it - boys, girls, and parents alike. Joey constantly fights his natural tendencies to cause trouble, and the one time the trouble is not his fault, he wants revenge. This story is a great example of how to look at others point of view and have compassion for their situation. This is a great family read and prompts many light hearted moral discussions. - Courtney and Erin Rosenkoetter (parents)

I really liked the Snowball Fight Professional because it was very funny. My favorite character was Joey’s grandpa because he says things backwards, which always made me laugh. I loved how when Joey sprayed the back sidewalk with a hose, and his grandpa had to take out the trash, he talked about how he had to “bear the trash can to keep the straps out.” - Xavier Brown (4th Grade)

I really liked the Snowball Fight Professional because Joey and Christine finally got along because they both wanted one of grandmas’ husky’s. I thought it was such a good idea that they both worked together to find out what grandma wanted for Christmas. I also think it is so nice that Joey helps his mom by reminding her she can still do yoga after she gets hurt. It is such a cute book! - Maci Brown (4th Grade)

I loved this book! I liked how I could relate to so many places in McCall. I remember that spot by the lake where Joey was shooting snowballs at Isabella. While reading this book, our family would always laugh when Joey would have a silly thought or action. Wait until you hear about his bet with his cousin and what he as to do when he loses! The part when they drove in the river scared me! I am so glad they were all safe. I hope Mrs. Strong continues to write this series. - Antwon Brown (6th Grade)

5.0 out of 5 stars Great action packed book! November 26, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
There comes a time in your life growing up that you find how very blessed you are. Friends, family, and basic necessities are easily forgotten until you realize what a treasure they are. That's what happened to Joey in this great adventure story, The Snowball Fight Professional.

On the way with his family to his grandparents for the holidays Joey thinks all is lost. He feels his only hope is to start a new business with the hopes of making some money to not only recoup his losses but to look good in his families eyes. Along the way he makes a new friend and renews an old one. What a great fast action story that I feel that 8 to 12 year-old boys as well as girls would love to read. The author, Angela Ruth Strong describes the action as well as the relationships so well that you can't wait to know the ending.

I was given this book in exchange for my honest review from the author.

4.0 out of 5 stars Recipe for a great Christmas Vacation story December 9, 2014
Mix seventh grader Joey, his loyal opposition little sister Christine, their health-conscious mom, wise but stern dad in a car on a treacherously snowy road. Then add a cookie-making and dog-breeding grandma, a word-mixing grandpa, and one devious cousin Winston and lots of snow.
Now add an awesome snowball launcher, competition for a puppy, snowmobiles, a living Nativity play, Isabelle, and Micah. Stir gently until the characters gain understanding and growth. Then frost with a neat surprise ending. Enjoy and share with middle school friends.
Angela Ruth Strong has truly captured the essence of a pre-teen who loves God and has good intentions, but is hindered by impetuous actions. I like this story’s first person narrative, including what he says and then thinks.

Joey Michaels has a mission--be the best snowball fighter in the world, win a puppy, and beat his mean cousin Winston at his own game. What results is many episodes showcasing Joey's penchant for causing trouble. But through it all, he learns lessons of thankfulness, kindness, and loyalty (and maybe a little of forgiveness)

What I liked--Joey has a strong personality. It is very easy to see a twelve-year-old boy getting into the trouble he gets into and learning the lessons he learns. I also enjoyed the escapades he goes on--some are downright funny!

What I didn't like so much--the lessons Joey learns could be developed a little deeper. For instance, when Joey keeps thinking he striving for

5.0 out of 5 stars This was a really good book! I loved it November 24, 2014
This was a really good book! I loved it. I really liked how Joey's grandpa mixed up his words all the time. It fun how Joey has the competition with his cousin. The twist at the end was really good when Joey didn't get the puppy. When reading this book I felt like I was right there with the characters. The writing was really good. The crash scared me a little bit but I was really glad that no one died.

I now want to read the Water Fight Professional and can't want to read any other books she writes in this series. This is a really good family book as well that everyone should read. I'm going to have my little brother read it next!

5.0 out of 5 stars What a fun read ! November 11, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
This was such a fun story, "The Snowball Fight Professional" by Angela Ruth Strong had everything in it a kid would enjoy reading about. An oh so scary icy slide into a river where all the Christmas presents disappeared with the car. Shooting snowballs out of a bazooka, practical jokes and a fun Grandma who enjoys cooking with lots of sugar! !! Joey is a young fellow who certainly knows how to get into trouble without even trying. I certainly enjoyed reading about his adventures and the lesson he learns about the real meaning of Christmas. I really enjoyed reading this entertaining story. I was gifted this e-book for my honest opinion which I have given.
