Very readable version of an excellent magazine,
By
This review is from: The Spectator (Kindle Edition)
I have seen reviews of Kindle magazines which reflect a general disappointment with the formatting for the Kindle. The Kindle version of The Spectator is unlikely to disappoint, except perhaps for the lack of graphics, photos and cartoons. All the main articles appear to be present with none (that I could see) of the problems some other Kindle publications have with things like apostrophes, quotes characters etc. As for the magazine content, it's a joy to be able to read political, social and other types of commentary written so well and often with much wit, and with none of the sensationilsm or cheap point scoring that make such articles in some other publications so tiresome. In short, it's bleedin' ace, mate.

What a delight,
By Stephanie Patterson (Collingswood, NJ) - See all my reviews

The Spectator is a delightful publication The articles--about books, the arts, politics and daily life in Great Britain--are very well written. I feel as if I get a good overview of British life and it reads well on the Kindle.
The tone is light and satirical and no one suggests that if one doesn't agree with a particular point of view civilization as we know it is over I'm enjoying my (reasonably priced) subscription very much

Just Cancelled My Subscription,
This review is from: The Spectator (Kindle Edition)
I've been reading the Spectator for about 8 years now, and enjoyed the Kindle format for about a year. Usually, I skim through writers I dislike (Liddle, for instance) or just skip them altogether, but today I made the mistake of reading jailbird, cokehead and self-described anti-semite Taki's latest puddle of 'Jews run the media'-flavoured puke. Perhaps if I had read Taki's previous columns I would have cancelled my subscription earlier, but there's no way I can support this publication any longer.
