Book Description

Emilie is 9 years old, but she feels like she is ready to be a grown up. She doesn’t care to play the silly little games of children. Instead, she likes to play with her dolls and pretend like she is an adult.

One day, her father takes her to the park. As she arrives, she sees children dancing under a great big oak tree. Strangely, she doesn’t hear any music, so she goes to see what they are doing. She meets a mysterious girl with blond hair, dusty cheeks, and bright yellow eyes.

At some point, Emilie says to the girl “I want to hear the music”.

“It’s easy. Just take my hands and dance,” says the mysterious girl.

Will Emilie be able to hear the music? Who is the mysterious girl by the tree? Read the story if you want to find out.

This is a story about the playful spirit of children. It is about the fun, adventure, and magic that all children are able to awaken with their lively imaginations. In this story, Emilie discovers that all children have a special ability that they should never let go.

“The Spirit of the Oak Tree” can also be read inside of the collected stories titled “Explore! Adventure! Above and Beyond!: Fun-Loving Inspirational Animal Stories for Daytime, Nighttime, and Playtime”. These are many positive and heartwarming stories with great lessons for all ages.

I really adore this lovely children's book & the ideas it presents. I think it's great to personify the spirit of children in the tree & invisible music the children & young at heart hear. The ending was lovely & made me happy to read. I definitely give this one 5 stars :)

More About the Author

I believe we can all accomplish what we aim for if we persist in the face of obstacles. Even if your goals seem out of reach for now, they are not. There is always a path to your goals, even if at first glance it seems riddled with thorns.

Something we can all relate to is the need to overcome obstacles. This is what my stories are about.

I write so children and adults can understand the stories. Adults often forget what they are truly capable of. I hope my stories motivate you to have the courage to pursue your vision, even when the odds are stacked against you. Most of all, it is important that we encourage the children to dream big.
