Book Description

November 1, 2011 Agent Ex Novel (Book 1)

If there’s one thing that can ruin a vacation, it’s running into your ex. Just ask Treflee Miller. If she’d only known that her husband Ty would be here in Hawaii—muscular, sun-bronzed, and infuriatingly gorgeous—she would have brought the divorce papers for him to sign. But life is full of surprises when you’re married to a world-class spy…

Ty Miller can understand why his wife is tired of playing Mrs. James Bond. He’s never home, he’s always on a mission, and he’s usually surrounded by exotic informants. He has to admit that the perfect spy makes a pretty lousy husband. But for the sake of Ty’s security and Treflee’s safety, they can’t blow his cover. Not here. Not now. Not when his longing is so strong, her lips so tempting—and his enemies so close…

More About the Author

Gina Robinson lives in the Pacific Northwest with her husband and children. She loves humor, romance, suspense, and spies. Not necessarily in that order. She writes humorous romantic suspense, contemporary romance, historical romance, and women's fiction.

If she could meet just one fictional spy, she'd be hard pressed to choose between James Bond and Max Smart. In her opinion, the perfect spy would be a combination of the two. Most days she writes while wearing slippers, flip-flops, or tennis shoes, depending on the season. But she loves a great, sexy heel and has a closet full for special occasions.

She belongs to Romance Writers of America and International Thriller Writers. To find out more about Gina, visit her website at www.ginarobinson.com

3.0 out of 5 stars Some Steamy and Fluffy Fun (B Grade) December 1, 2011
Format:Mass Market Paperback
The Spy Who Left Me (Agent Ex #1) is one of those books where the plot is totally implausible but is such a good fun time read. It's a fluffy, adorable and laugh out loud romance that takes place in the exotic setting of Hawaii. It also features a married hero and heroine who are on the verge of divorce, or rather, the heroine wants the divorce because her spy husband is never around and he wasn't there for her during a really rough time when he should have been. Treflee Miller (Treflee is a nickname and one that made me go WTF at first) is fed up with her James Bond type husband Ty. When they were first married, she was all for Ty going off and saving the world, but now she wants a more stable home life and children. Ty is oblivious to this, but won't be for long when Treflee serves him divorce papers. She just has to find him first.

Treflee goes to Maui with her cousin Carrie after she dumped her fiancé who she caught cheating on her. Carrie takes her bridesmaids with her, which would have been her Hawaiian wedding and honeymoon. Since Treflee is one of her bridesmaids, off she goes for some R&R. What she doesn't expect to find is Ty undercover. He's their tour guide. Ty is just as shocked to see Treflee because he's working a dangerous case that if she gets involved, could get hurt, or worse if Ty's enemies know she's his wife. He'll also keep a close eye on her to keep her out of trouble. He still loves Treflee deeply and their marriage. So it comes as a complete surprise when she tells him she wants a divorce. Now not only does Ty have to stay in character and avenge a fellow agent's death by taking down a Chinese gang member living in Hawaii, but romance Treflee and make her see that divorce is out of the question.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Spy Who Left Me left me wanting more! November 12, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
What a fun, action-packed read set in beautiful Hawaii. The heroine's plan: to obtain a divorce from her never-at-home-spy-husband. The hero's counter attack: to do whatever it takes to fix his marriage while maintaining his cover. While dodging bullets, dead bodies, and assassins, both are determined to complete their missions. Can't wait for the next book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Read and reread! February 11, 2012
By Ezzie
Format:Mass Market Paperback
I won't bother to sum up the story because others have already done so, but I absolutely recommend this book to anyone who wants their hearts to melt at a hunky hero and a spunky heroine. Though I had a hard time figuring out how to pronounce Treflee, it didn't stop me from finishing this book and then reread it again. Ty is such a great guy and is completely in love with his wife, which makes me smile. It was an all-around feel-good book that makes you wish you had a Ty as a husband. And possibly be in the Hawaiian islands as well, hehe.

I have to say though, this book mainly focuses on the relationship of Ty and Tref, and even though there's a subplot of Ty's top-secret assignment, I felt the main objective of this book was to understanding each other more.

I highly recommend this book. You'll have your laughs, suspense, and romance all in one if you give it a try.

5.0 out of 5 stars This Was Fun November 4, 2011
Format:Mass Market Paperback
I had seen the trailer for this book and liked the title, so I bought it. At home, I just planned to read the first few pages--which you know was a mistaken plan. I couldn't put this book down. It's fun and outlandish but as a real core as Ty and Treflee work on their marriage. Part of the fun was the Maui setting where I recognized sites the author depicted. I highly recommend this book

I loved this.book. I love a thriller investigation/,romance/comedy. I can't put the book down. It really is very detailed and you feel like you there. My only complaint is I wish there was, more of a backstory. You don't get the whole story together into the book. But such a good book. I would recommend.this.to anyone who want as.easy good read. The story is light and easy to follow.I recommend for.the.beach or.an afternoon of laying around.

4.0 out of 5 stars THE SPY WHO LEFT ME.... November 27, 2012
Format:Mass Market Paperback
THE SPY WHO LEFT ME was a light and funny novel. It was action packed with a wife who wanted a divorce from her never around husband and he in turn didn't want to let go. Of course it was his career choice that got in the way. The story seemed to focus on the relationship which was okay. I really enjoyed reading it and would recommend it to anyone.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Fun Read October 4, 2012
Format:Mass Market Paperback
I pulled this one out when I was coming down with a cold and we had our first rainy cool weekend. Wow - I kept plenty warm reading it. It was a great fun novel that got me through the weekend and had me looking for the next book by Monday morning. Maybe I watched too many episodes of Scarecrow and Mrs King in my youth but I enjoyed the implausable nature of the story and had fun living in the fantasy of the Spy and his wife working together and for their own agendas to complete the mission! Sometimes you don't need to be mentally challanged by a complex plot - you just want to live in a fanasy world for a few hours. So live a little while on island time and let your James Bond fantasies run wild.

Treflee Miller is ready for some fun in sunny Hawaii with her cousin's ex-bridesmaids. The last person she expected to see is the husband she's trying to divorce. Evidently, her husband the spy is undercover at the same resort she's staying at. Treflee is a smart woman and she's not buying this coincidence. If only her husband would sign the divorce papers she could have some fun helping her cousin celebrate her non-wedding.

Ty Miller is a secret agent. He's in Hawaii trying to stop a terrorist and find his friend's killer. The last thing he needs is his wife clouding his judgment and hounding him to sign the divorce papers. Ty loves Treflee. He can't figure out why she is determined to end their marriage. He knows it has to be hard to be married to a spy. He's gone a lot and always in danger but he thought she was okay with that part of his life.

Ty sets a plan into action. He will find the terrorist and save his marriage if it's the last thing he does. Ty never expected Treflee to get tossed into the middle of the mission. Now, her life is in danger and he must work fast to keep her safe. Can Ty capture Treflee's heart again and save her life at the same time?

The Spy Who Left Me is such a fun exhilarating read! I am so excited about this series! Treflee and Ty are an awesome couple who seized my attention from page one and never let go. There are ton of very cool action sequences, some hot love scenes and plenty of hilarity to keep the reader entertained throughout. Gina Robinson takes drama, comedy and action whips them together to make one delicious read! The Spy Who Left Me takes you on a rocking roller coaster ride across Hawaii. The scenic views that Ms. Robinson gives the readers are beautiful. I cannot wait to see where Ms.
