This review is from: The Stalker (Kindle Edition)
Obviously, this book was written by an amateur.
The text contains numerous errors: mistakes in the punctuation (for example when direct speech is used), in the spelling (for example "wave" and "waive" are constantly mixed up), names of famous writers are misspelled (ever heard of Jane Austin?) and occasionally there are even mistakes in the grammar (tenses, sentence structure).
Characterization in this novel is also typical of a beginner who doesn't know about techniques of characterization. An experienced author wouldn't use so much "telling" instead of "showing". Thus in parts the story is told in an uninspired and dull way.
In addition, the characters are not believable. For example the protagonist's daughter sometimes acts and speaks like a five-year-old and sometimes thinks like a grown-up person. The protagonist herself appears like an old maid at the beginning and immediately turns into a sex bomb after making the acquaintance of a man.
As a consequence, you feel that the novel falls into two parts, but the first isn't in accordance with the second because the characters no longer seem to be the same.
All in all, the plot is not very plausible, either. There are some minor inconsistencies (for example the daughter of the protagonist remembers her mother's words about a woman's period, though later the text says she would never talk about such a thing to her daughter).
The ending is - well, not really original, but certainly unexpected and you will probably be surprised because romance abruptly turns into something completely different. You might even wonder what genre the novel actually is.
But more importantly, there is a disproportion between the introduction and the main part of the story. The introduction is way too long, whereas at the end you can hardly follow because too much information is given on just a few pages.
By the way, the title is misleading because the book is not about stalking at all.
