5.0 out of 5 stars great biographiinc novel from an erotic sage, May 10, 2011

better than the electric kool aid acid test. more erotic. more enlightened. a lot deeper. Mysticism and philosophy. Existentialist and tantric.
Gurus, Orgies, wisdom, sex, human psychology, the search...
one of the best books i've ever read. And i've read all the classics, a good share of erotic literature, all philosophy and most sacred texts.

3.0 out of 5 stars Hunter Thompson for wannabee intellectuals, March 11, 1998
By A Customer
I expected so much from this book. Instead, I get "I did this, and here's what I thought about it. Then I did this, then that" ad nauseam. One might expect this from an auto biography, but not in such stilted writing. And did I mention the over-analysis of every situation. Mr. Vassi, I realize you are dead, but I ask, do we really care? While the content (sex/drugs/mysticism) made me yearn for an era I missed, for the most part, I felt like I was dragged along on a bad trip. Don't hide the pain and ugliness, but please, make the good times more enjoyable.
