This book is wonderful. Helen Keller is a brilliant and beautiful soul and you can clearly see her opinions and all of her hardships through this book. I strongly recommend.

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't Buy This Book February 4, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This tells the story of what happed AFTER the breakthrough in The Miracle Worker. It does not discuss the process that was gone through getting Helen to the breakthrough point. This book talks about Helen's education and people she spoke to after The Miracle Worker. If you want to read the story of The Miracle Worker - get Miss Spitfire. That story is taken from someone's point of view of what Annie Sullivan might have been thinking as she left the Perkins Institute and headed out to teach Helen Keller and the trials and tribulations that she went through teaching Helen how to communicate. Miss Spitfire follows the story line of The Miracle Worker much more than The Story of My Life - which barely even mentions what went on prior to Helen's breakthrough.
