This was an exceptionally funny story with a good romance to back it up. These two women sure know how to drive their men crazy with all their Woman's Rights Movements activities! Good thing their men know just how to curb them at least for the moment and then they are right back at it again. Truly a good book.

This is a terrific story. Loved it. Funny, witty, heartwarming and an adventure to boot. Who could ask for more. You now, when I give a Maren Smith book a 5 star rating, it makes me wonder of all of the other books I gave a 5 star to were really worth it. Maren Smith's works are heads and tails above so many others. This book was no exception.

Overall... I fairly enjoyed this book.

The entertainment value was high, the sexy and romance values were low, and the spanking value was middling.

Alice and Sadie crack me up. I especially loved it when Alice would get going on her speeches about women's rights - mostly because I agreed with a lot of what she was saying and I thought she said it very well. I also loved the hair brained schemes that she would drag Sadie into.

One of the spankings seemed a little gratuitous. Personally I thought that the husband was asking a little too much for Alice to be so overly polite to the overbearing misogynist and that spanking bothered me. Other than that, the rest of the spankings were all pretty well deserved and fairly well written.

There was definitely nothing sexy about the spankings, so if you're looking for a "turn me on" spanking story this isn't one of them (unless you're turned on by domestic discipline in any form). These spankings are about punishing bad behavior on the parts of the women - and omgoodness the bad behavior they get into. I completely supported them and yet I also knew that they well deserved the spankings that they got for going out and doing such dangerous activities without any help or without notifying the men!

Sadie and McCade's romance really wasn't very romantic. I'm still not entirely sure why he wanted to marry her so badly. She stepped on his foot dancing two years ago, ran out the door and now he's here and immediately wants to marry her? What? There's not a lot of room for romantic development there and I felt like the author really stretched herself to make Sadie's low self-esteem believable as a reason for why she keeps refusing McCade.
