Book Description

May 11, 2012
American Christianity is dying a slow death at its own hands. Instead of positively affecting the secular culture, we are being infected by it under the guise of being "seeker-friendly" and "loving". Soon, the church may be an exact mirror of the culture that seeks to destroy us. With a lack of strong, principled leaders, and with followers who want their ears tickled instead of being challenged to pursue righteousness, American Christianity is writing its own epitaph as it slowly dies. Unless we reverse course by embracing the complete, absolute truth of God's Word and stop trying to redefine God in our selfish human image, only a remnant will remain from a once-powerful church. Do we have the courage to challenge our leaders and ourselves to reject secular culture and its influences? Or will we continue to die a slow death at our own hands as we continue to inhale the cancer of secular humanism? Time is running out.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Watchman who is Watching June 15, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
This book by Mike LeMay earns all its stars because the church would do well to heed it. Not only are we in the midst of a raging apostasy but part of the reason for that is a lack of correctable and teachable spirits in the body at large. But for those who have ears to hear and eyes to see, arm yourselves with this wonderful volume on how we got where we are. Mike does his homework and is a quick study on all these subjects. I highly recommend this book, if you are willing to be taught, informed and exhorted. The Bible says to exhort one another daily as we see the Day approaching. Mike has done his part and beautifully. He is a true watchman!

5.0 out of 5 stars You HAVE To Get This Book! July 21, 2012
By Carl G
Format:Paperback
Mr. LeMay does a superb and courageous job in identifying the major weaknesses of today's Church - especially the church in America. He fearlessly and relentlessly exposes its doctrinal error and its allurement to the secular humanistic message of the world around it - the world the church is SUPPOSED to be changing! You will keep this book in your library and refer to it over and over again. I give it a solid five star rating. God bless you Mr. LeMay!

5.0 out of 5 stars How apostasy is invading our churches July 2, 2012
By kimbers
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
Mike LeMay likens American Christianity to the slow suicide of his mother who would not listen when everyone told her she was killing herself with alcohol and cigarettes. This eventually led to her death, although the death certificate stated the cause was liver failure. She was once a rock of virtue and conviction - just like American Christianity used to be. Once strong, beautiful and vibrant, we, like his mother, are drinking the poison of secular humanists.
We are living in a time where there are "false prophets and false teachers are among us, who privily shall bring damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction" (2PT2:1). We are leaning upon `experts' instead of searching the scripture for ourselves to "prove all things; hold fast to that which is good" (1Thes5:21). The Beareans searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so (Acts 17:11) and 2 Tim 4:3 says "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears". In "The Suicide of American Christianity", Mike shows us the dangers that are now prevalent in our society and how Christianity is being redefined with the New Agers, The Emergent Church, Chrislam and so many other `religions'. Mike says we won't even recognize American Christianity 5 - 10 years from now (and I don't think it will be that long). We say we are Christians but what does that really mean? George Barna Research found only 1 in 3 self professed born-again Christians believe the bible is absolute truth.

This is a must read for anyone concerned about what is happening to Christianity and America and what we can do about it. Are we willing to take a stand for the Truth - in love? There is still hope, but we MUST take a stand now!
