About the Author

Sonya Loveday, first and foremost is a reader, an avid one. It is of that love that brought her to the realization that this was the answer to the nagging persistent feeling that ‘there’s got to be something more’. The dream came alive in 2009 when she purchased her laptop and began the tedious step of becoming a published author. When she’s not reading, she’s writing. When she’s not writing, she’s reading. And when she’s not doing either of those things she’s sleeping, shuttling her children back and forth to school, letting the dogs and cats in and out of the house for the umpteenth time in the last hour and dreaming of a clean house. More About the Author

Sonya Loveday, first and foremost is a reader, an avid one. It is of that love that brought her to purchasing her first laptop in 2009, and publishing her first novel, Casted, in 2013.
In early 2014, Sonya expanded Casted and then went on to publish Spelled, the sequel to Casted in March, wrapping up the series, and her stint with Paranormal Romance. For now.
Not long after the completion to the Casted Series, Sonya tried her hand at New Adult/Coming of Age, a sub-genre of Contemporary Romance. Thusly, the Six were born with The Summer I Fell, which released at the end of July 2014. The demand from readers was instantanious, which brought about End Note, the second book of the series in December 2014.

To date, Sonya lives in Central Florida with her husband, and two kids, and is currently working on her fifth book set to release later this spring 2015.

I loved this book. The author did an amazing job of setting the tone for the story. The feelings and interactions between the characters was true to their age. The story was very refreshing and you can see the worries and feelings of the characters in the story. Graduation high school is a big thing and making all the decisions that come after can be very stressful. Riley has always hug out with the "sexy six" but on graduation night things change. Feelings are expressed and emotions run high. Can her and Ace make things work? All of Riley's friends leave there little town to start there adult life while she is left alone. A tragedy happens and Riley wants to prove to everyone that she can manage on her own. She is just feeling more confident when tragedy strikes again. Riley is devastated! I enjoyed all the characters in this book. I want to learn more about each one of the 6 and where their story goes from here. At the end of this book I almost wanted to scream "NO"........ With this authors work I can never get enough of the worlds that she weaves!!

There are so many things I like about this book. There's the rowdy group of boys and the tough as nails girl that gives as good as she gets. They think of her as just one of the boys... unless someone tries to hurt her and then you better watch out. They all have their own secrets, their own plans for the future and now that they've graduated they have to face reality... Summer will come to an end and they will each go their separate ways. This may be their last chance to spend some time together as a group and they want to make the best of it.

I laughed, I cried, I even got irritated a few times. It was a rollercoaster of emotions and that's just how I like my books.

There are romantic scenes in this book, but they are not explicitly descriptive. I personally would recommend this book for readers 17 and up.

*I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review*

I'll be the first to admit that YA or even New Adult contemporary fiction isn't at the top of my favorite genre list. I tend to mostly stay away from them, unless they have a description that hooks me. Normally, I would've looked at this book, read the description - and then rolled my eyes and walked away. They all seem to sound the same to me anymore. There must have been something there that sparked my interest a little bit, so I read the book. I'm so incredibly glad that I gave it a chance! Granted, it does have all the mushy bits along with a roller coaster ride of emotions - just like all the others. So what was it about this particular book that made me love it? I'll try to break it down and explain it to you.

The first thing I noticed was obviously the writing. How can you not? I know I'm reading a well written book if the author is able to suck me into the story within a few paragraphs. I haven't honestly come across many of these cases, but this novel definitely falls in that category. I was caught up in the world the author created almost instantly - and I didn't come back out until way after I was finished reading the story. I always come back to the point of view that an author uses - mostly because I think this is a huge part of of the book. It effects everything from characters, world building, the story, and the writing - to name a few. By far, my favorite point of view is first person. If you've read any of my other reviews, you'll note that I say this in just about all of them. To me, the point of view the book is told from is essential, and can either make or break a book for me. By using the first person POV, the reader is able to get an inside look at the character - their thoughts, emotions, dreams, hopes, fears - what have you.

AHH! This Novel! I Beta read this, and then ARC read it after it went through its final edits. Sonya is a genius. This novel is a MUST READ. I couldn't put it down when she first sent it to me. It was New and Interesting. A novel with a concept I hadn't read before. Okay, I should probably tell you about the novel itself and such I suppose.

#GetSixed

I sure did and it was wonderful. I started this book and got pulled right in. The Six. These characters claw their way not your heart from the first chapter. Jared, Ace, Mark, Josh, Aiden & Eli are a force to be reckoned with. They are a group of best friends that define that title by no other. Riley. Riley is the center force for The Six. She is the glue that hold it together. She is their best friend. The girl that is just like one of the guys.

The novel takes place right after their graduation. It follows the struggles everyone faces after they graduate high school: The Future. The Six have secrets, and after graduation it is time for those secrets to be unearthed. Those secrets bring forth shocking revelations and the aftermath is a fun ride.

While everyone has futures to pursue, no ones in more uncertain than Riley's. She is the girl who wanted out the most, but wont be able to leave. She is left in her small town in Alabama while the other pursue their dreams.

I don't want to saw much more, other then this book has some big twists you don't see coming. Sonya weaves her magic yet again with Riley and The Six.

The novel is very easy to connect with, and the characters make it effortless to fall in love with them. This is hands down the best NA I have ear yet this year. Sonya works magic and weave this compelling story that you don't want to escape.
