THE SUNKEN CATHEDRAL is a real eyeopener to the horrible world of human trafficking. The novel hooks you from the very start. The sad plight and squalor in which the young girls live eats away at you as you realize why they are so susceptible to the terribly unscrupulous male adults that lure them to, seemingly, a better future. As a reader, I agonized over the ways in which these wonderful young girls, so beautifully characterized, were manipulated into making decisions that sealed their fate. The characters, from the most innocent to the most vile, are are well drawn. I saw them all as real people, and that is what made the read so powerful. You will find yourself agonizing and hoping as you read along. I guarantee that you will not be disappointed.

Eye opening how easily someone can accidentally get themselves into this situation. It is so hard to read about what these poor girls are subjected to.

This made me think of the hidden world most of us would not believe is real. It makes me nervous regarding the young children in this and other countries. Parents, protect your children!
