I am the founder of Best American Psychics and Best American Healers and I have a CBS Radio show called Metaphysical Minds with Shay Parker. I received a copy of 'The Survival of the Soul' because I have an interview scheduled with Lisa Williams this month (March, 2011). Because of my work, I have the rare opportunity to interview psychics and healers from all over the US and the world. On my radio show, I have had the honor of "picking the brains" of some pretty amazing and well-known names in the metaphysical community. That being said, I still had many questions about the Afterlife, particularly the whole "Life Contracts" idea. I struggled greatly with the contract idea because I could not understand, for the life of me, why someone would CHOOSE to leave an amazing, peaceful "Heaven" or Afterlife in order to come "back" to Earth and, in many cases, suffer the perils of humanity. Throughout all my interviews, it never occurred to me to ask what we actually "do" on the other side. Sure, I learned from several about the tunnel, the life review, and the beauty, love, and comfort beyond the veil, but I never really learned what happens "over there". At least not until I read this book...

Lisa takes you on a journey, from start to finish, detailing what a soul experiences on the other side. She covers every question from suicide to miscarriages, and explains the enigmas of "Heaven" and "Hell", as we are taught. It was funny because as I was reading the book, questions would pop into my mind, and before I could even finish formulating the enormity of the questions, Lisa had them answered, in great detail. She would begin to explain something and then would say, "now in case you are wondering about........", and then my "but how could's..." were answered! It was as if I was receiving a psychic reading from her WHILE reading the book!

I am not going to give away any spoilers for this book because you must read it yourself to understand what truly occurs on the other side. Having said that, I look forward to future books from Lisa as she continues to teach us through her beautiful words.

Not only is 'Survival of the Soul' fascinating and informative, it's inspiring and totally eye opening. It answers so many of the questions we're dying to know the answers to (pun intended!). I admit that I am a firm believer in Lisa Williams' ability so I approached this book with a lot of excitement and with an open mind. I have read a few books on this topic but nothing has been as clear and concise as this. A lot of the book is written directly from her spirit guides, which gives you an undeniable insight that you wouldn't find anywhere else. Again, given that I don't question Lisa's authenticity I am taking what she is saying as gospel. As I have met her in person, I would be more likely to believe what she has to say than I would any devout religious leader. I say this because I believe you will benefit greatly from reading this book with an open mind, and then deciding what you do and don't want to take from it. I'd go as far as saying that you owe it to yourself to read this book.
I think I will need to read 'Survival of the Soul' a few times over, particularly when I'm confronted with challenges in my life. It puts everything into perspective and has made me focus on the bigger picture and to live in the present.
I can't help but wonder though, how many lives have I lived? Who was I? Who will I be? Have I ever been a spirit guide? And I picked my parents?!? So fascinating and so wonderfully inspiring.

On my spiritual journey, the last few years had lead me to want to figure out about the energy of our soul and where it goes once it leaves the body and how this is all connected to NDEs. Funnily, when you are ready, the Universe has a beautiful way of showing you all the sources to learn. Lisa's new book provided just further affirmations on other material that I had been reading. The book is actually a lot less 'technical' compared with other material, but in no sense it is any less detailed to showing us that there is generally a process that our soul has to go through before we can decide to stay in the afterlife for our soul lessons or reincarnate to continue with more lessons in. A human body. You definitely come away sensing all is love and gentler on the others, absent of the ego that is creating all this mess and pain! I have had my own experiences and can only validate from that that the soul does live on and manifestations of loved ones crossed over can come at any time and whe you really Ned them. It was interesting to learn that souls will read your aura to determine if they need to leave an imprint or get in touch and will not address the ego side that is often the needy side of our human nature! The only little jiggle I had with the book, because I had read Lisa's first book is there appeared to be some repitiion about her history; but once that was over . I got engrossed in the meaterial that her guide had revealed to her to share with us. Although I suspect there is a more, and it is somewhat frustrating not to have more information as I sometimes think we waste a lot of time dithering about what we really should be doing in this life time. I really don't want to reincarnate again if I somehow missed the point of being in this life time! Haha. If you enjoyed this book, I also recommend destiny of souls by michael newton. I purchased the ebook and the content and format was excellent.
