Book Description

For Jessica and Elizabeth, the sweet life begins at 30…

From Francine Pascal, creator of Sweet Valley High and author of the New York Times bestselling Sweet Valley Confidential, comes the second novella-length installment of the groundbreaking, six-part, e-serial, The Sweet Life, continuing the adventures of beautiful blonde twins Jessica and Elizabeth Wakefield and the gang from Sweet Valley.

Three years after the events of Sweet Valley Confidential, Elizabeth and Jessica Wakefield are back in Sweet Valley and inseparable once more. But Jessica, now a mother, finds her marriage to Todd hanging by a thread. Meanwhile, Lila Fowler, reality TV star extraordinaire, embarks on a risky scheme that could win her fame but cost her everything. And the scandal rocking Sweet Valley deepens for Elizabeth and Bruce, who find themselves at odds when loyalty conflicts with the need for the truth. The Sweet Life #2: Lies and Omissions picks up right where the first episode leaves off, and the stakes get even higher!

for all of you out there who loved the sweet valley books when you were kids; prepare to have it all go down the drain. elizabeth and todd do NOT live happily ever after, he cheats on her with jessica amd they get married. >.< elizabeth after her heart being destroyed by the two people she loved most moves to new york and lives a miserable lonely life only to them start dating bruce patman. i can honestly say that francine pascal must be going through really hard times and has decided to take her anger out on two generations of people by ruining their childhood. congradulations francine for being a buttface

5.0 out of 5 stars Loving this new series! August 1, 2012

I am really getting in to this Sweet Life series. After the travesty that was Sweet Valley Confidential, I feel that Francine must have given in and given the stories over to a ghostwriter. There is definitely a different writing style than in Confidential. I am enjoying reading about the grown-up Wakefield twins and their friends. There is a nice chunk of this about Lila Fowler, who was very neglected in Confidential, as well as some about Annie Whitman and Steven Wakefield. I can't wait to read the next book, and I hope they will continue this series!

This second serial book picks up right where The Sweet Life #1: An E-Serial leaves off. It is a lot shorter, and a much faster read - especially considering the various cliffhangers that it ends on. And while the pairings amongst the key characters are not ones that I would have selected, so I don't feel invested in their relationships working out, I am definitely excited to see what happens next! I am now officially hooked and looking forward to what next week will bring to these soap operatic plots! This entire set up of weekly releases of short novels reinforces the way the original books were released, so this just feels like a much more authentic continuation of the series!

The books could be a little more longer but overall I'm curious about who the villain is. Great read for fun!

It took me finishing this book to realize I didn't want to spend any more money on this e-serial. It was Horrible! Thank you to the reviewers who left spoiler alerts. The series could have been fun again. Where are the editors and what not who helped Francine out during the High's heyday?

1.0 out of 5 stars I was a big fan of Sweet Valley but not anymore June 14, 2013

I feel this series ruins the whole sweet valley series. Francine Pascal should have stuck with the ghost writers, they did a much better job on the writing before she came out with the 10 years later series...

1.0 out of 5 stars Awful writing, awful plot May 30, 2013

I loved SVH when I was a kid, so I was pretty excited when "Sweet Valley Confidential" made it's debut. I didn't like the whole Jessica/Todd situation, but at least the book held my interest. Now that this 6 part series has come along, even the writing is awful. The plot is terrible. Some parts of it, like Lila's reality show, is just ridiculous. Her character is titally unbelievable as a real person! I've read the first 2 installments in the e-series and I have no desire to finish it.
