The Five Most Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: If there is no sugar added, why does The Switch still have sugar? A: The sugars and calories found in The Switch come naturally from the fruit itself.
Q: Why don't you make a diet version of The Switch? A: Because The Switch uses 100% natural juice, there is no way to take the sugar out of the fruit without adding artificial sweetners.
Q: Why is it called The Switch? A: Because The Switch offers a healthier alternative to soda.
Q: Why is the "THE" upside down? A: Sorry, that is classified information. But please tell Switch why YOU think it is upside down--check out the website--the best answer can win some cool prizes.
Q: Who invented The Switch? A: Health enthusiast, Mike Gilbert, regularly drank orange mixed with sparkling water to replace the vital hydration and nutrients he lost during his work out. One day sitting in the parking lot of his gym, mixing his juice and sparkling water, he spilled it all over his lap. Why, he wondered did he have to go through this ritual everyday? Why doesn't anyone make a carbonated 100% juice? Mike decided to do it himself....and that was the beginning of The Switch.

The black cherry flavor of this tastes a lot like that!
slim
It's not so nice that Cherry Juice is the FOURTH ingredient -- weighing in after Apple, Grape and Acerola concentrates.
Ace
It actually taste like a soda pop and not just juice with carbonation in it.

In the Beginning there was Fruit Juice, and there was Soda Pop, and never the twain should meet... unless you mixed them yourself. But then somebody got the Great Idea -- when reconstituting fruit juice after Pasteurization, why not reconstitute it with carbonated water? Thus was born...

Soda Juice!

And I tasted it, and it was Good! Frankly, I found Black Cherry, Kiwi Berry, and Watermelon Strawberry pretty similar in taste, Orange Tangerine more distinctly tart, but I enjoyed all of them.

In the cans you have 5 other flavor choices: The Switch Fruit Punch, 8.3 Ounce Cans (Pack of 24), The Switch Grape, 8.3 Ounce Cans (Pack of 24), The Switch Kiwi Berry, 8.3 Ounce Cans (Pack of 24), The Switch Orange Tangerine, 8.3 Ounce Cans (Pack of 24), and The Switch Watermelon Strawberry, 8.3 Ounce Cans (Pack of 24).

Since virtually nothing is added, the slight nutritional differences must be due to the characteristics of the different juices being used. Fruit Punch, Orange Tangerine, and Watermelon Strawberry have the highest calories, 140; Kiwi Berry is next, 135; Black Cherry is next, 130; and Grape has the lowest, 125.

I don't care if it is just juice concentrate, reconstituted with carbonated water instead of plain water -- the stuff tastes good! The carbonation makes it taste nice and light, instead of super-sweet or -strong like many juices. As a heartfelt devourer of all things cherry, I really liked this Switch black cherry drink.

On the other hand, it was so tasty, so light, so refreshing, that I easily could have knocked down three or four of these SMALL 8.3 ounce cans. However, seeing as the primary ingredient is (reconstituted) APPLE juice (that's right, NOT cherry!) and the tiny can has 130 Calories of sugars (natural to the juice, I'm sure, but still) - it is probably a good thing the can is so small, or I'd have had 500 calories just like that! Even Coke only has about 100 calories per 8 ounces!

Anyway, Switch tastes awesome. When I get more, I want to try it as a mixer with vodka. And I wish the flavor was a little bit more cherry and less apple/grape.

Black Cherry Switch is 100% juice (a mixture of juices actually, but more on that later) combined with filtered sparkling water. It has no sugar added or corn syrup, no artificial colors or preservatives--these are all positive attributes.

I think the concept of combining fruit juice and carbonation in a small-shot serving (8.3 ounces in a slim can) is just fine. My problem with Black Cherry Switch in particular (the only flavor I have tried) is that cherry juice is listed fourth out of four juices this beverage contains (the other three are apple, grape and acerola juices). As a result, the cherry flavor ends up battling (and getting trounced by) these other flavors. The end result was, for me, inadequate cherry flavor.

Will I run out to buy more Black Cherry Switch? No. Even though the beverage was refreshing, the cherry flavor was too muddled by other juices and too low in the ingredients list to give me the punch of black cherry flavor that I expected and wanted.

Would I buy more Black Cherry Switch if it had a more distinct cherry taste? Yes, it is highly likely that I would buy it at least occasionally.

This line of drinks are great! Zippy flavors. Quenches the thirst. I tried to drink one down in one gulp -- couldn't do it. There is enough for before or after a workout. They are 100% juice and have vitamin C in them. I would say these are very healthy. Great alternative to soda. There is carbonation. No sweeteners of artificial stuff in them. I will buy them again.

We first purchased the variety pack of this product at Costco. The black cherry was always the flavor that was out first. My son pretty much lives on this beverage. I am happy that he likes this better than soda since it is a bit healthier for him. I am so happy that we are able to get this from Amazon now and with subscribe and save, we don't even have to pay for shipping.

I love carbonated drinks. Coke, Pepsi, Red Pop, Creme Soda... I think what makes me prefer them is the carbonation. Somehow, it makes me slow down and enjoy the drink more.

However, most soft drink companies are just creating different flavors of high fructose corn syrup mixed with the carbonated water. I don't like that. There's nothing good or healthy about HFCS, and I get enough of it in the various foods I purchase without having to drink several ounces of it every day.

This product, The Switch, is a great alternative to regular soft drinks. It's basically just carbonated fruit juice with some preservatives added. It gives me that zing I like in carbonated drinks, but without any of the high fructose corn syrup (of course fruit juice has its own sugars). It's much healthier and tastes great.

That's what's good about this item. The only bad thing I can think of is that the cans are TINY. I'm sorry; I'm an adult male, and I can't be satisfied with an 8.3 ounce can of juice. Two cans is about right, and at the price they're asking, that's about a dollar and ninety cents to get close to the quantity of a typical bottle of soda pop (20 ounces). Is it worth the upgrade? Yeah, I guess so, but I would think it would make a 24-pack go quickly in my case. I really wish they'd just package them in 16.6 ounce containers, and then still sell as a 24-pack.

This flavor, Black Cherry, does not sit with me well. To be fair, I'm not a fan of cherry juice anyway, but when you introduce the carbonation to cherry juice, it ends up tasting more like cough medicine than a tasty beverage. That's just my opinion, of course, and I'm sure fans of cherry juice will love it.
