I really liked how the book was progressing, but the ending just seemed a bit too trite.
The author is descriptive to the point that it gets annoying, and it seems like he's trying to show off his vocabulary by using too many "big" words.
In The Taking, many things are never really explained AT ALL, not even at the end of the book.
