Product Description

This cardboard cutout stands at 46" x 72". The Tardis is a time machine and spacecraft in the British science fiction television programme Doctor Who. The Tardis looks like an old blue phone booth. Doctor Who is a very popular television show, and has aired for many seasons. The program ran first from 1963 to 1989, then again in 2005. The main character, a Time Lord known as the Doctor, is a time traveler. The show has become a very important part of British popular culture. Doctor Who is loved by many, and this standup of the Tardis would make a great gift for Whovians and fans of the television program. How to Set Up Your Standup: 1. Unfold standup and easel.  Lay standup face down on a clean, flat surface. 2. Fold easel up along the long vertical crease that runs the length of the standup. 3. Lift upper and lower tab to lock easel in place. 4. Attach upper tab to top of easel. I have mixed feelings about this thing. From my childhood, I have loved Dr. Who, so I would order this again. On the other hand, I must say that this thing gives off a very strong toxic fume smell for a good month after opening, almost unbearable at first. If it weren't Christmas, I would have put it somewhere outside for a few weeks to breathe, but it would have been damaged by rain, so my family's initial enjoyment of it was dimmed by the horrible smell. But months later, even on dark exhausted days after work, it gives me a little glow inside my heart as I trudge by it in my hallway... I feel that Velveteen Rabbit awareness that Dr. Who is real, and will someday swing by to see what that odd smell is coming from, maybe leave behind a sack of jellybabies. Or whatever David Tennant's Doctor might leave behind. Perhaps a diary?

This is a big image of the Tardis on a sturdy cardboard backing. It is supposed to stand up but it really doesn't work right. You need to tack it into the wall. I am still happy with it...just realize that it's not a stand alone item.

My daughter is a devoted Whovian and absolutely "needed" this for her birthday and was overjoyed by it. Just as the previous poster, my daughter intended to use it as a headboard. Alas, mine must have came right off the press because the dyes were still sticky to the touch and the thing stunk something awful, like fresh paint. Probably not the best product for someone with respiratory sensitivities or allergies. FYI, it comes folded up in thirds in a very large but thin and flat cardboard mailer which is likely to get bent by UPS (mine did)...the creases can be refolded out to where they aren't noticeable though.

The cardboard poster came folded in thirds in a box. I was skeptical at first that it would unfold and stand up properly. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to unpack and assemble. It looks great in our gaming room! If only it were bigger on the inside ...

Been a fan since Tom Baker era. I was so excited to see this item, a dream come true.
I received the Tardis as a Christmas gift and couldn't wait to open it. The graphic
is AWESOME,looks real. However, the package said "Lifesize" the description saids
"over 6ft tall". I was very heartbroken when I relized that it NOT Lifesized at all.
The body of the ship is only 5ft and 8in, the light on top makes it just over 6ft.
Doesn't even reach the top of a real door. Still I wouldnt give it up, but be aware
it's NOT TRUELY LIFESIZED.

i bought this it came in 3 folding pieces was fairly simple to set up but beware the easel is attache poorly and fell off on me, and id recomend duct tape to put on back if standing it up because it could easily break. On the other side the graphics were amazing, but for the price its got bad build qulity ilove it but don't know how long till it breaks.

I put this on the wall over my son's large bed as a makeshift headboard. It looks great! It's fairly heavy duty, he can lean his back against it when it reads without messing up, wrinkling, or damaging it.

While not exactly "Life-size", this is a great cutout. It goes great in my living room and all my friends love it.
