Review

The Teflon Queen is an amazing book. I read all of silk white books but this may be the best yet. I wasnt sure if he would be able to top tears of a hustler trilogy. But Teflon Queen is just as good if not better. This is a Must Read! --Amazon Kindle

Teflon Queen is a winner. I expected nothing less from the author of my other favorite series, Tear Of A Hustler. This one definitely gets 5 snaps and a kiss Mr. White. Can't wait to see what happens to the Queen. --Amazon Kindle

ACTION PACKED!!!!!! Are the two words I would use to describe this novel. Silk White consistently invents characters that you just can't get enough of and the & Queen & is no different. From the beginning to the end this novel will have you wanting more. Angela is a hood assassin with crazy sophistication. She reminded me of a hood & And her male counterparts: Capo, Wayne, Scarface..... and many more just bring the story all together. He got me, I'm a believer... Silk White will remain on my favorite authors list. --Amazon Kindle

2.0 out of 5 stars Terrible editing. Good storyline October 25, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
First let me say that the storyline was bananas! I loved it! It was definitely a page turner but every time I turned the page I saw horrible grammatical errors that truly messed up the flow of this book. The book was terribly edited as if spell check was never even used. The author continuously misspelled words that should have been easy to spell or picked up in a spell check.

With a storyline this fierce, the grammatical errors should not have even existed. It took away a lot from the book. If it weren't for the errors it definitely could have been a four star book.

Ludicrous plotting, much of it implausible, the rest impossible. It has clumsy and childish dialogue, appalling grammar, non-existent editing and is riddled with clichés. It is effectively a very poor copy of the tired plots of B grade "made for TV" dramas. Character development is something this writer has not heard of, none of the characters are remotely believable. It almost has the feel of a really bad spoof until you realise that the writer is not trying for comedy. It was too poorly written to keep reading as I regard reading as something done for pleasure, not as an endurance sport. I did skip-read to see whether it improved. It didn't. The book ends with "To be continued" and a number of exhortations to buy other books from the same writer. You can even buy direct and pay by cheque! The "continuation" is priced at about three times the average cost of a GOOD Kindle eBook.

Curiously, a good number of the more positive reviews rave about the ending. As this book does not have an ending - is "to be continued" you have to wonder about those reviews. Those with more suspicious natures might start to wonder about the John Locke fiasco.

It was a blatant attempt to generate sales for it's "part two" continuation. It was free, and the second half over-priced. Such a scam might have worked if the book could get readers interested enough to know how it ended. Some might, but this reader knows enough to stay well away from this writer's nonsensical offerings.

3.0 out of 5 stars Had Potential May 13, 2013
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I haven't even finish reading this book but i had to stop and read the reviews again to make sure. This book had lots of potential due to the fact that it had a great storyline since it was different from the typical mom was a crackhead or both parents got killed during a drug war. It was different so that's why i bought it. But then as i start to read there grammatical errors and it was as if a 3rd grader wrote it due to "pow pow pow pow pow pow" and a few other words. But i will finish hopefully to see where it leads. Great plot but poor editing.

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't Bother April 15, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The cover of the book and the title had me intrigued and motivated to start reading right away but this is the most poorly written book I have ever read. The baseline story was a good idea but grammatical errors, incomplete sentence structure, and low-end vocabulary make it difficult to get through. I debated whether to abandon this book after a few chapters but kept reading only to discover that there is no ending. You have to read the sequel and I don't plan on doing that. This book is a waste of time. I'm sorry to insult the author's efforts but feel that prospective readers have the right to know.

3.0 out of 5 stars I wouldn't recommend to a friend. November 12, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Parts of this book read as if it were written by a teenager of limited experience, particularly in the gratuitous sex scenes. The hip language is a downer if you don't have a good reference. Some parts are much better written than others, but I pushed the envelope in giving three stars.

1.0 out of 5 stars Worth every penny... December 13, 2012

Paid 99 cents for this book and it was worth it. One of the worst works of fiction I have ever read. Can't believe it ended with "to be continued".

1.0 out of 5 stars More practice needed March 20, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I did not enjoy this book. I felt that the storyline did not coincide with the title. The book centered around everyone else but the actual Teflon Queen. It also showed a superficial side of African Americans. I do not think that the characters were developed properly and relatable. Going back tot he storyline, it was absurd, completely unbelievalbe. I predicted the ending of the book at the beginning. I can honestly say that this is one of the worst books I've ever read. However, it had potential to be a great read. Grammatical errors alone are enough to irritate any new read. I believe that this author should take more time and hone in on their skill. Needless to say that I will not read the second book.

Lots of action and sex. Everybody thinks they can do the job. So many twists and turns you may lose your focus.
