Miles Mason's book is a great primer for divorcing persons and for anyone who has not yet started but is contemplating divorce. As a divorce attorney, his basic advice is "think seriously before you enter into this process." Divorce is a nasty and potentially expensive process.

Miles' book can't prevent either the potential nastiness or the expense of divorce. But it can inform you of the process before you begin it or while you are in it. And while the title talks about Tennessee divorce, much, if not most, of the information will relate to your potential divorce, no matter where you Iive. You'll just have to find a good lawyer where you are. This book tells you how to find him or her, as well as providing suggestions for how to work with your lawyer, once selected.

Knowing where you want to go is important. However, trying to get there without an easy to read and understand roadmap can be very frustrating. This book provides such a roadmap. It enables you to be prepared for the process and to navigate it with as little frustration as possible. It is a tremendous supplement (but not a substitute) to having a great lawyer represent you.
