4.0 out of 5 stars Fun!
I don't have any idea what the latest is in waffle-iron technology. This appears to be a very basic machine (pour in the batter, wait till the light goes off, pull out the waffle) but it worked fine and got a lot of laughs.

3.0 out of 5 stars I think this is a fun waffle maker.
In my opinion this is a fun waffle maker. I think the waffles are not as thick as I thought they would be, but it is still fun.

This Iron works very well.. it's very simple: Pour, close, wait for the light to click off.... It is easy to clean and easy to store.
It's a lot of fun when guest from out of town are over for breakfast! Anyone who has ever lived in Texas will appreciate this!

I got one of these as a gift and LOVE it. Works great and is non-stick. Much easier to clean than anticipated. Surprisingly practical.

This is so much fun and it works great! My husband bought it for me as a surprise and now we use it all the time. I use it to make regular and Belgian waffles. It cleans up easy and every waffle comes out a nice golden brown.

Yup. Arrived a day early. Works like a top.

Nieces, nephews, grandkids and all the big kids (adults) love this thing.

Texas-shaped waffles always a hit here.

Highly recommended.

We think there should be one shaped like every state in the Union. We'd collect 'em all!

5.0 out of 5 stars Whimsical eats, April 3, 2011

We just bought this from a local restaurant supply store for $48.00. It is so fun to make and eat waffles now! You do not need non-stick spray as the non-stick surface is perfectly adequate. I highly recommend this to any hungry friend of Texas.

5.0 out of 5 stars Texas Waffle Maker is SUPER, August 4, 2010

Makes wonderful waffles! I am really happy with it. Usually I use my grandmother's simple recipe: Combine 1 cup flour, 1 T sugar, 1 T baking powder, pinch of salt and set aside. Combine 3/4 cup milk, 1 egg, and 2 T oil (or melted bacon fat like my grandma did) and add to the flour mix and stir until well combined. This amount gives me 4 or 5 waffles. I let the waffles get nicely brown, that's how we like it. Everybody should be eating Texas waffles.

Although this waffle maker is not the absolute restaurant quality belgum waffle maker i was looking for, it is by far the best waffle maker in the shape of the great state of texas. I love it! The waffles come out perfect golden brown everytime!
