About the Author

Professor Dr. Wilhelm Niesel (07.01.1903-13.03.1988) was educated at Friedrichs-Werderschen Gymnasium at Berlin and studied theology at the University of Berlin, Tubingen and Gottingen. He was Pastor in Wuppertal-Elberfeld (Germany). He became Professor of theology at the University of Berlin. Publications: The Theology of Calvin, 1956 Calvin-Bibliographie, 1901-1959, 1961 Evangelium und die Kirchen. English translation: Reformed symbolics: a comparison of Catholicism, Orthodoxy and Protestantism, 1962 --This text refers to an alternate Paperback edition.
