Most of us know that we create our own reality with our thoughts or whatever we think about we bring about. So having said that why do so many of us struggle getting what we want and are usually more successful at getting what we don't want? David has a great way to finally get us what we truly want with our thoughts. It's a method he coined called Thought Exchange which has you stay with the sensations that certain new thoughts may bring and keep us from running back the other more comfortable thoughts that keep us stuck. Very effective! It's working big time for me. Bob Burnham author of the # 1 Best Seller: [...]

I would like to thank David Friedman for this book. I have read many books on positive thinking and manifesting ones dreams, but just thinking positive thoughts or trying to chanel positive energy seemed a bit magical and frankly a bit too good to be true. While we may wish it were as simple as just thinking a happy little thought, we all know that there is more to it than that, otherwise we'd all have "everything" and everything would be "perfect". While I always "knew" that how one thinks or sees things does have a significant impact on their quality of life and success, I couldn't quite get to the place where I "felt" "it" or "got it". And while "it" seemed to "work" for others, "it" never "worked" consistently for me.

A friend mentioned having heard David Friedman speak about his book, The Thought Exchange, and I was immediately intrigued. Thanks to David's insights, his courage to tell his story and share what he and others have learned in a clear practical way, I can see how our thoughts work and how, with sensations that arise with the thoughts, we often get scared and run away from our deepest desires. At the nexus of thoughts/feelings/and sensations, one can successfully "exchange" a thought for a new one, and take life in the direction of ones dreams and desires. However, this must come with the understanding that with the new thought comes new sensations that we must now allow ourselves to experience, even when they seem uncomfortable. Allowing this over and over helps us see that our thoughts are just thoughts, and our sensations are just sensations, and it is safe to carry on. In fact, if we do not, our fears will only get bigger and seem more oppressive.

This book is a life changer if one is really willing to make significant change. The Thought Exchange takes its readers who choose to practice the techniques deeper. As I read the book a bit each morning, I am inspired and excited to try new things, and to pursue some of the projects I had been blocking. The techniquess may be universally applied to life whether one subscribes to a specific religion or not. David does refer to Christian teachings and to some of the teachings of the Unity Church, but after studying world religions and spirituality, this book transcends any speciic "religion" and conveys succinctly "how".

My only critique is that there is no Table of Contents. It would be a lot easier to navigate (As suggested by the author) if he would have included a linkable TOC.... I had to manually navigate to the chapters I wanted and use the note feature of my Kindle Fire to have a way to re-find them. Otherwise I would given it 5 stars.

This is a good long look at LOA in a different way. if you have read all the books, then this will give you an entirely different look. very clear, very straight forward. If you have a logical mind this will seem more natural to you than "the secret"

As the title says, we CAN overcome anything if we will change our mindset and allow the opportunities for a wonderful life to filter through the mist of a busy life. It takes work, but it can be done and this is a good tool to add to your toolbox! Easy reading, for the most part.

Have to be honest...Good for helping a person fall asleep, but that's about it. I had to watch it several times to get through it because I would get bored and could not focus on the repetitive monologue that just didn't hold my attention. The speaker may be well-intended, but he could have made his point in 15 minutes just as easily. Sorry, but not even worth the time to try and talk about the content. Anyone with common sense would already know more than 'Thought Exchange' could teach them.....

Love the way David shares real stories about real people, including himself. Very willing to be transparent and vulnerable. Presents truths with a new twist that lets me keep going and sustain changes that I've been working on for a long time. Very helpful section on how Thought Exchange works with other modalities--in addition to, rather than instead of. I bought one copy of the book from David, and within a week had given it away and bought another copy for myself. Highly recommend.

I ordered this book for my Kindle, but I think I also need the hard copy so I can highlight certain sections. This is the best book on metaphysical healing ever written. I may have read them all, I'm not sure:) David Friedman's explanations about experiencing our sensations leads to a fantastic freedom to live my life without the burden of being a victim. I have also attended David Friedman's THOUGHT EXCHANGE workshops in New York City and Norwalk, CT. They are absolutely brilliant and Mr. Friedman has the patience of Job when it come to letting everyone understand what is happening at their own pace. But this book today!!!

I've read it (and listened to the audiobook) 3 times. He has a brand new approach to the same information, being the law of attraction, I can go as far as to say this book was responsible for changing the course of my life.

Just a bit different than some other personal development resources. This approach says to be comfortable with your uncomfortable emotions that come up whenever you try and pursue something new. Or beyond being comfortable, because you may never get to the comforts of the emotions that are created whenever you try for something that stretches you. It says to take the actions despite the uncomfortable feelings because if you dont you will just seasaw back and forth between the contentment of not achieving and the uncomfortable emotions as you THINK about attaining more. The way he gets you to want to be better is genius. Buy anything David Friedman related!
