Book Description

Drake Bellamy doesn't want to break the law.
His mother is dying of cancer and his father has sent him out to purchase medical weed from an unknown dealer. Things go bad fast. During the deal on the fourteenth floor of an apartment building, the dealer disappears, and Drake is stuck in the apartment with a dead woman.
The police are at the door. He has nowhere to go.
On the run from the police and the maniacal killers intent on framing Drake for murder, he must uncover the truth before it is too late.
He discovers there is a reason behind the madness that has become his life. That information takes him back twelve years to when he was hospitalized with a concussion and his fiancée went missing.
The only way out now is to clean up someone else's mess. The only way out is murder.
Drake Bellamy didn't want to break the law, but now he is out for blood.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Thrill of The Threat September 1, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
This book is the crown jewel of Jonas Saul books to date. The Threat is a fast paced, gripping read that will leave you on the edge of your seat wanting more. From the opening scene where we first meet Drake Bellamy until the stunning conclusion, tension builds at a perfect pace pulling the reader into the story. A can't miss read you won't regret and won't be able to forget. I couldn't put it down and was sorry when it ended. I don't want to give away any spoilers in the perfectly crafted plot. Suffice to say readers will enjoy the ride and the twists that make this book a page turner. Kudo's to the author. Can't wait for the next one!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good fast paced read September 12, 2011

Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I stumbled across this author by accident I was searching for John Saul and must have fat figured something and this came up and I decided to give it a shot, . I was impressed. The story kept me page turning, it was quick paced. The ending was a little farfetched hence the 4 stars but it was interesting. I don't want to give any spoilers but it was well worth the .99 price...and I am looking forward to reading more of his works!

4.0 out of 5 stars interesting story October 8, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This was my first kindle read book (yes, I have finally entered the digital age!) and it was an enjoyable read. I saw that this order had a fairly solid review rating for his other books, and they are lined up ready for future readings.

It was well written, and had a good pace to it. You could almost feel the frustration and stress of the main character as he realised in a few short hours his life as he knew it had been turned upside down.

recommended for those who like the adventure/action thriller which pulls no punches with underlying menace.

5.0 out of 5 stars Quick and exciting! September 25, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I actually stumbled across this book art the end of another Jonas Saul book I was finished with. The preview chapter made me jump all over this one! I was immediately roped in to the story, and read it in two days time (which for me is really fast). I'm glad this author is a quick and capable writer, because he's quickly finding a place on my top 5!

I hope you decide to read the sample and see for yourself that this book is well worth it. My only wish is that more authors would make their books available quickly while still remaining engaging and exciting!

Jonas Saul is definitely one to keep a close eye on!

5.0 out of 5 stars I love, love, love reading these books!! May 5, 2013

I have never used so many tremendously positive words to describe Jonas Saul's writing and his books, that I simply feel like a broken record each time I read another one! He is magically talented and I am so glad that I "found" him and his marvelously stories! Unlike some other writers, his story lines, though connected are not repetitive. They simply flow into one another causing you to crave more and more! I hope Mr. Saul writes fast and keeps the fabulous works coming, because I don't know what I'll do without another Jonas Saul MAGNIFICENT creation to look forward to! I promise, you will NOT regret reading a Jonas Saul novel...you will be hooked just like I am. Way to Rock It, Jonas....now get back to writing me and all of your other faithful followers another book!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Never disappoints February 18, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
As always, I am disappointed when it comes to the end of a Jonas Saul book. Not because of the content of the book....but because it means I have one less Jonas Saul book to read. Jonas Saul will never disappoint with a bad read.....out of the thousands of books I have read in my lifetime, I can't remember an author I have enjoyed more. Well done Mr. Saul!

2.0 out of 5 stars slow and poorly editied March 19, 2013

Was expecting the book to be entertaining and fun. Instead found it to be slow, and disjointed. Not one to catch editing errors but found several. I finally stopped reading this about half way through.

1.0 out of 5 stars Did not like this one at all
I couldn't even finish this one; it was really bad. Writing style was very poor and it was not a believable story; at least not the way it was being written.

This book held my interest. The ending was unexpected. Although the plot was convoluted, it did keep my interest. I'd recommend this book.
