The Three Ages of Atlantis: The Great Floods That Destroyed Civilization
By Diego Marin Ph.D.
ISBN-13: 978-1591431794 (Bear & Company-2013)

No matter what you believe, it’s an inescapable fact that ancient civilizations share much of their knowledge with a common highly advanced civilization. There’s a lot of theory in this book, however, considering the ‘fact’ that most of everything we have been and still are being taught in school is dead wrong, we would do well to open our minds and look at the facts anew. This is part of the unraveling of a great mystery, our human history. Reading this book helped me make some very important connections.

This is without doubt one of the worst books I have ever read. "Pseudoscience" does not even begin to cover it. Much of the early part of the book appears to be lifted from R. & R. Flem-Ath's work on Atlantis, but the chapter that is really a study in misinformation and absurdity is the one on language. Having taught linguistics on the university level for a number of years, I was truly appalled by the incredible number of unspeakably stupid statements totally at variance with verifiable linguistic fact, not to mention those that reflect abysmal ignorance of the subject itself. It would take many paragraphs to specify and refute the utter nonsense presented by the authors, and neither I nor Amazon review readers would have the patience for such a critique. As for the rest of the book, it seems to be on a par with the chapter on language, although I cannot claim expertise in archeology. I have, however made a close study of the Ethiopic text of the Book of Enoch (1 Enoch), and I would recommend that those interested in reliable Enochic material consult the recent excellent Nickelsburg, Vanderkam, and Baltzer scholarly English translation and commentary (2 volumes) in the Hermeneia series (available from Amazon), or Dr. Nickelsburg's very fine abridgement of the Hermeneia edition, "1 Enoch: A New Translation" (also available from Amazon at a modest price).

The three ages of Atlantis offers an interesting view point of a possible scenario of the past, including a look at archeology finds.

Some of this book was an interesting read. I'm pleased there is a book finally revealing a decent timeline of the Atlanteans (Pelasgians). The author covers from 13,000 BCE to recent historical time periods. I tend to believe this civilization started perhaps hundreds of thousands of years ago or longer. Also, I believe the theory that their cultured origin was in Lesser Antarctica. In my opinion, they had to relocate from Antarctica on a few occasions but returned until their final abandonment of the continent around 9,000 BCE. The author tells of the floods, etc. that would destroy their great lands but their brilliant culture survived and was dispersed into other continents. Their pyramids were built throughout the world and they were all very similar. That definitely isn't a coincidence.
One more thing that isn't in reference to the book. I have a strong desire to believe the Nazis of the 1930s-40s uncovered beyond top secret information on the very ancient civilization in their Antarctica base. A few unusual occurrences at Antarctica since then has made the bottom of the news that indicates there is a helluva a lot more going on there that isn't being communicated to the public.
