More About the Author

Jarrett Ingram is currently traveling around the world with his wife and two small sons. He quit his job as a restaurant general manager in Maui in 2011, in order to pursue his dream of writing, and to spend more time with his family. His inspiration came when his third son, Trek was born in the driveway of their home in Maui. As there was no doctor, Jarrett stepped into the role and delivered their third son. The moment became a symbol of seizing what was important and abandoning all else.

When Trek was on 9 months old, he was diagnosed with a terminal illness. Jarrett and his wife decided to continue with their plans for travel, and they spent Trek's entire life in the warm sun and on many adventures until Trek died on June 21, 2012.

Jarrett and his family live by the motto "Embrace Life" in order to honor Trek's life every day, and Jarrett plans to continue to follow his dream of writing and traveling.

Jarrett and his family are currently living in Thailand, where Jarrett is working on his next novel when he is not playing with his sons on the beach or eating lunch at a noodle stand. Jarrett also has a published children's book that he wrote for his sons, The Three Brothers go to the Beach, available in the Kindle store or in paperback at www.jarrettingram.com.

I sent a copy of this to a friend with a toddler in preparation for their visit to Maui. I thought it was a beautiful introduction to the ocean and island life, especially for a child who's never seen the beach before. Daisy just loved the book and I look forward to hearing about how she reacts to the real thing! Never too early to show a child what paradise is like! ;)

We love The 3 Brothers Go to the Beach! My oldest son is almost 4 yrs old, and we got this book a few weeks before we were set to go to the beach on vacation. He was fascinated with every page. It painted such vivid pictures! He couldn't wait to bury his Daddy in the sand and to build sand castles. And I couldn't wait to snuggle with his baby brother under the sun umbrella while I watched all the fun unfold. Thank you for creating such a beautiful story that we will enjoy for years to come!

I just finished reading Jarrett Ingram's "The Three Brothers go to the Beach" on my kindle. I wish I had a color version of the kindle, but even on my black and white I was touched by the sweet story and the simple pictures. I plan to read this story to my grandson and the new baby my daughter will soon have. Just reading about how Trek felt falling asleep on the beach with his Mommy made me wish I was on the beach with my own children once again. Thank you Jarrett.

What an incredible & heartwarming story! The story makes you feel like dropping everything in life to take time to enjoy it with family! The characters in the story are such a great example of life itself...they capture your heart and make you want to join them on the beach for a day of fun, relaxation & family love! So excited to share it with my grandchildren & give as gifts. Great job, Jarrett!

I stumbled across baby Trek's blog yesterday and was so moved by the story that I immediately purchased the book on Amazon. This story was so sweet and reminded me of what it means to be a family. Life isn't about getting through the day, it's about being in each moment of the day. I do not have kids, but when I do, they will hear this story.

This is a delightful and heartwarming story about a family's fun day at the beach. The older brothers have their favorite things to do, but they always make time for their sweet little brother. It's really a story about family love and belonging. I truly enjoyed it.
