4.0 out of 5 stars Not bad! September 15, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
First of all, I'd like to say that this was, overall, quite enjoyable. The Well-like style of writing shows well and one could easily make a case for it having been penned by Wells himself if they didn't know better.

Of course, there are a few flaws that could have easily been avoided; did the author really have to make reference to BBC's "Doctor Who"? Also, I have to say that the novella-like brevity of the work would, perhaps, make classifying it as an extended epilogue more accurate rather than calling it a sequel.

The flaws aside, and they are few, the very reasonable expansion of information gleaned by the time traveler with regards to the Eloi was worth the price of purchase. Further, the autor wisely expands on the wide open resource of all of the time period between 1890 and 802401; that's a lot of area to work with and the author does a good job of opening the door to those eras.

All in all, I'd have to say... not bad at all.

This sequel does not flow and keep the reader as interested as the original Time Machine, which I have read several times over the years.

3.0 out of 5 stars Easy Reading September 21, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
Enjoyable reading where the original story left off but a little awkward toward the end needed more substance on how main character lived in the future and what impact it had on history.
