This is a nice way to grow Tomato's on your deck.

It seems to be the same material as a plastic reusable grocery bag you can get at Trader Joe's.

No dirt, no fertilizer, no seeds, no plants, it's just a plastic bag. It seems to be the same material as a plastic reusable grocery bag you can get at Trader Joe's. You know that sort of thin woven plastic with an allover coating? It comes in a small box, folded up and it's printed with a very faux wood grain. I'm sure it's obviously just a plastic bag planter if you've seen the ads on TV, but as I hadn't, I really thought I was buying more than a bag. It looks like it will look even more ridiculous once it's bulging out with dirt is in it. There are plenty of attractive cheap planters that I can pick up when I go to the store and buy tomato plants and dirt, which I will have to do with this anyway. And I don't see why this would do better than any other planter on my deck. It's hot as blazes out there, so I don't need anything special to "warm the roots." Maybe I just don't understand the technology behind it.

It is very difficult to grow tomatoes here in Whidbey Island. I not only have an heirloom tomato plant doing beautifully but also an eggplant plant and a pepper plant. My pepper plant has a lovely blossom which means that I will have a pepper. It has been so much fun watching them grow. I didn't think I would ever be able to grow these veggies here.

This works great! Our tomato plants are nearly six foot tall, loaded with tomatoes! We used the wire tomato cages to support the plants. We also used one to plant okra in. It is growing great too.

It takes 2.5 cu ft soil to fill (difficult design to get it in the holes)My tomato plants have not done well in it compared to the ones in the garden. It's not worth it.

This product takes too much soil and after a couple weeks of sun, it starts fading out from yellow to white. I would not reccomend it. My tomatoes grow just as good in a big pot with way less soil..

very good for small area or condo, apartment. the cost for product and planting soil is very costly. I bought two planters and two bags of 2 cubic ft. of soil cost was $60.00 with tax. the break even point was 50 lbs. of vegetables !
