The Tomato Garden is an enthralling tail about a Soldier's adventure, growing a tomato garden. The story keeps you entertained as you learn about friendship, character, and military tactics, through the author's struggles against nature (and a big groundhog).

More About the Author

Adger Smith King Jr. was my old man. He was born on June 2nd, 1923 and died on April 23, 1981. He was just 57 at the time of his death; I was 14. I chose to write under my father's name to honor his memory. He passed me his values, perspectives, mannerisms and, to some degree, his personality. I would not be who I am today if it weren't for Adger King.

In writing "The Tomato Garden", I called upon the actual events that transpired. The fact that I did the things I did while combating the evil Marmot is characteristic of my father. He too may have exercised the ingenuity I attempted - for both sport and practicality.
