This has always been one of my favorite songs from the 60s. To me it's definitely Smokey Robinson at his best. I love that it combines a gentle, melodic musical theme with a fairly sad lyric.It doesn't hurt that one of my favorite scenes int he movie Platoon is when Charlie Sheen, Willem Dafoe and their gang are drinking, smoking and all singing this song together. It highlights their camaraderie that plays such an important part of the film. |
