Already an All-Time Favorite,

A fan since I heard her sing on "Felicity," this album did not disappoint in any way (except that there are some other songs I've heard her sing live that I wish were here -- but hopefully she'll release them later). It's a perfect representation of a tremendously talented young woman. She's so amazing to see and hear live, and this album gives us fans a chance to take in every lyric and note. There's a new and wonderful discovery with each listen. Her lovely voice & sweet vulnerability blend with a rocking edginess that makes this such a fun album. It's also insightful and enlightened. It's one of those discs that you always leave in the car because at a moment's notice, you can pop it in & immediately feel better. I easily give it my highest level of endorsement.

Amy Jo Johnson's Personal and Eclectic Debut,

I admit that I was a fan of Amy Jo Johnson way back when she was on the Power Rangers. I was young and could have never imagined that almost 10 years later, I would be listening to her CD. I also watched her on Felicity and became very interested in her music when I found out that she is a songwriter. Finally, about a month ago, I decided to look her up online to see if she had made any albums. When I found out that The Trans-American Treatment had been released last year, I went straight to the store to buy it. Much to my dismay, they told me that it's only available online. So I ordered it and two days later, I received it in the mail. My first impression was that all of the songs are obviously very personal. I also liked that not all of the songs were the same. From the storylike "Crazier Than You" to the rocking "Purple Skies", the CD has a little bit of something for everyone. For anyone who is a fan of women singer-songwriters, this CD is definitely one to add to your collection. Amy Jo wrote every song on the CD, which makes it feel even more emotional. I highly recommend this CD because it not only makes you think, but it can make you cry, make you sing, and most importantly, it can inspire you.

Small town girl has big time talent,

Amy Jo Johnson cut her musical teeth in the LA club scene with the band Vahala. Then she brought to life the rise and fall of 60's singer Nansi Nevins in VH1's first movie "Sweetwater". Now Amy Jo steps out with her own songs, making her own kind of music her own special way and it rocks! With hauntingly soul searching lyrics weaving in and out with rocky/alternative guitar, bass and drums, the CD comes alive with all the intimacy and in your face soulfulness of a private concert. Amy Jo's richly sensitive voice coos with tenderness in songs like Splashin Rain and Goodbye, only to reach down inside you and shake your bones in Fairway and Panic. I found the CD thoroughly enjoyable and the more I listen to it, the more I like it!

I've had this CD a long time, but only recently have I started listening to it a lot. It has grown on me. I was introduced to Amy's voice first through the Felicty soundtrack and then the Sweetwater movie. In both venues her voice was awesome. Doing either the soft style of Felicity or the louder rock of Sweetwater, she was great. Trans-American Treatment was at first a little disappointing because the voice I remembered and loved didn't seem to be there. However, after much listening, I've decided that it is. There are some softer cuts on the CD reminicent of "Puddle of Grace." "Cat in the Snow" is not merely one of Amy's best songs, it is one of the best songs that anyone has ever done. The problem is with the louder cuts. I wanted to hear that strong, powerful voice that Amy had in the Sweetwater movie. At first I missed it, but with much listening I've decided that it is there on this CD. I think that the problem is that this CD is just badly mixed. I do not dislike the band, but in many of the louder cuts, the band just completely obscures her wonderful voice. It's such a terrible shame. So this review is one star short of five because of the bad mixing.

I was skeptical when I bought this CD, but I must say that it rocks! She sounds great, and I can only think of "Alanis Morisette" as a comparison but AJJ is not quite so negative. I highly recommend buying this one. All of the songs are good from the start and none need time to grow on you!

Well for those of you who do not know who amy jo johnson is, She is a talanted actress, song writer and singer. You might remember her as the oringinal pink power ranger. I'm sure you guys still remember the song she sang during an episode of power ranger "Down the road" is the title of the song. And what a amazing song that is. She also plays julie emrick on the hit television series felicity. During the show amy had a chance to show off her singing ablity and performed two songs during the show's first season. The song "Puddle Of Grace" became so popular with the fans that it made it to felicity's first soundtrack. With this album amy jo prove how good her song writing skills are and how powerful her vocals is. This 11 track album showcase a very different side of amy jo johnson. The lyrics are very personal the vocals are good and the songs are just irresistable! I got the album back in february from amy jo's website and its totally wicked. Amy jo wrote all the songs on it herself(Yes! how many singers can actually do that?) With nice sweet ballad such as "goodbye" and "Cat In The Snow" amazing rockin songs such as "purple skies" and the amazing opening track "fairway" how can anyone resist this album? If you like rock and roll music, sweet and beautiful ballad you just got to check out this album! This album is a must and can only be purchase online so buy it now for your friends and family and spread the amy jo vibe throughout the world!! A job well done by the super amy jo johnson.

Amy Jo cd best ever,

Amy Jo defintely did a great job on her debut album. Amy Jo has such great lyrics and every song is awesome. "Goodbye" is the best song with a slow beat and lyrics that will make you feel what she is feeling in the song. Another great song is "Purple Skies" which has more of a rock feel but still is a great song. Amy Jo uses more of a rock kind of music on her album but it has great music. Amy Jo's writes beautiful lyrics in all of her songs and yes she wrote every song on her album. Defintely an album worth checking out.

What a treat we have here...Amy Jo's first album is a definite must-have! THIS LADY CAN WRITE! The songs are solid melodically, they're well arranged, and her sweet voice complements her rock-flavored accompaniment VERY well! I was surprised at first listen because I had expected an all-acoustic folky sound like I had seen her deliver on the Felicity TV show. Was I ever pleased to hear her sound being more developed and carried one step further! Yet her songs are pleasantly NOT buried in overprodiction or overarrangement---a perfect blend of good song and good sound. Her lyrics are sensitive and often introspective, staying true to her folk roots. Hats off to this impressive debut---Amy Jo Johnson is truly a multi-talented performer. I can't wait for her NEXT disc!
