Jane Horton is a native of the San Francisco Bay Area. She grew up in Palo Alto, as described in her first book "The 50 / 60 Kid - A Palo Alto Dreamer."
Jane's belief in the power of the individual translates into both actions as a community-service volunteer and environmental activist. These ongoing practices have continued for the Palo Alto Dreamer since that special era of her second book, "The 60 / 70 Sparkling - A Palo Alto Dreamer."
Jane shares her life's journey with much laughter, tears, and perpetual optimism. Her third book, "The Transformation - A Palo Alto Dreamer," chronicles Jane's life as a mother, her struggles for workplace equality, and how social issues shaped Jane.
I read Jane's first book about growing up in Palo Alto and it was such a delight. I too, grew up in Palo Alto around the same time period. The things she wrote about brought back such wonderful memories of our town and childhood experiences. We shared many of the same experiences and it turned out our grandfathers both worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad, in the same department, at the same period of time. I have followed her through the next two books and have enjoyed them as much as the first.
