I bought this album after hearing the smooth voice of Susanne Vega with "caramel" on the movie - it stuck in my brain and I had to get a copy. I was pleasantly surprised to hear that there was more than one track on this album well worth a listen. Now that I've heard the album, there are several tracks I would have bought separately. The bouncy liveliness of Blues Traveller is the kind of song I look forward to listening to on the way to work to put me in a good mood. The Cowboy Junkies' "Angel Mine" almost brings me to tears - that song is gorgeous. Of course, Squeeze have brought out another gem (to match the great "tempted") and the Al Green song is so cute!! I would recommend this album to anyone who is up for something a little less teeny-pop and a lot more smooth and mature.

I loved the movie, mostly because of the music. This is one of my favorite CDs in my collection. It will make you smile when you remember where the song was playing in the movie. Ranging form the Cowboy Junkies to Ben Folds Five, this is a must-have for anyone's CD collection.

Overall, this CD isn't THAT great. But because there are a few songs on it that are just AWESOME, I had to give it 4 stars. The Cowboy Junkies song "Angel Mine" is so beautiful there isn't a word for it. Susanne Vega's song "Caramel" is also really good. And there's something about the song "You Do Something to Me" by Paul Weller that makes you feel like you're deeply in love, even if you're not. And the rest of the songs aren't BAD, but they're not really worth mentioning. But I think the CD is worth getting just for the Cowboy Junkies song.

Although at first listen, you may think this is just another bland commercial pop album but with closer inspection, you unearth some of pop's best gems in the album. From Sting's "The Bed's too Big Without Me" to the haunting "Angel Mine" by Cowboy Junkies, the songs tend to stick. Favorites include Squeeze and Paul Weller. A must buy for any pop enthusiast!

The strength of this disc lies in one of the most beautifully written and arranged songs ever, the Cowboy Junkies' "Angel Mine"....Margo Timmins has one of the most haunting and incredible voices ever.

The collection itself, track for track, is outstanding...hard to go wrong with Paul Weller, Al Green, and Squeeze on one disc...

"This Road" is a fantastic song from an old favorite band. But the rest of the album features a number of fun tunes from some great artists as well. All in all, a good soundtrack album that enhances a good iTunes library.

I tried for some time to get the song by Dionne Farris, "For Once in My Life" and I could not find it. Someone online said the song was on this soundtrack. The whole soundtrack is good.
