Other reviews have given all the specs on this deck, allowing me to give a more personal review.
I'd fallen in love with the artwork I saw on a forum site, so I preordered the deck. When it arrived, I was very impressed with the quality of the box, booklet and cards. The cards are large, and when I first started reading tarot I was put-off by large decks, as I found them hard to shuffle. But I came to learn that the public loves large images that they can see well, and I adjusted my shuffling style. The card stock is great, and I love the black backs and backgrounds.
Those who love magical creatures and the faery realm are drawn from across a crowded room when they spot these cards. The images seem to float and sparkle. My favorite card is The Hierophant, which shows a strong capable woman standing on a faery mound striking it with her staff, which summons out dwarves, elves and fairies. The cavorting of the magical creatures and steadfastness of the central woman standing under the full moon creates a perfect balance between firm beliefs and open-mindedness. This is my favorite Hierophant of all the decks that I own.
It's not just pretty fairies and elves, this is a serious tarot deck! The artwork is so wonderful that I just stared at one card after another for days without reading the booklet or doing a reading. Then I was a bit afraid that it might give "fluff" readings, all sweetness and light. Nope. This is the real deal, and if you're not able to reach some of the depths to which these cards can take you, turn to the booklet, as Beth Wilder will definitely bring you up to speed in many respects; about the magical realm, her vision for the cards, and serious tarot meanings. Very well done!

This is one deck you won't want to miss. It's a true gem for a tarot lover's collection. Lavishly colored, the vibrant illustrations glow richly from their black backgrounds. This beautiful and unusual artwork is brimming with magic. And you'll meet all manner of magical beings in your journey through the Twilight Realm.
Artist/author Beth Wilder shares with you her knowledge and personal experiences with Faery in this gorgeously rendered deck. The attractive boxed set comes with a detailed 175 page book that offers a great deal of insight into the magic behind the artwork. I love this book especially because you feel the author is speaking personally to you, the reader. For anyone who loves to work with tarot, or collectors of tarot art, this deck is a must have. Step into the Twilight Realm-you won't be disappointed!

I LOVED this deck from the moment I received it!! I've never considered myself a Fairy person, but this deck is awesome. It gives extremely accurate readings. Especially as I am relatively new to the tarot, it has made learning easy and enjoyable. I seem to have a kinship with the cards, a familiarity I never expected. The cards are sturdy, they will obviously serve me well for many years:) The box they came in was a pleasant surprise!! It is very sturdy. The book goes into great deal explaining the "story" in a way that makes them easy to remember. The meanings explained, are simple to understand and have been extremely accurate as well.
I love my deck. Not being a long time reader, I can't speak for someone who is. But I can say, I am blown away by the art, the quality, the book, and the intuitiveness of this deck. I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone wanting to learn!!!

These cards feature vibrant colors on black backgrounds, much like velvet paintings, or chalk artwork, though they are finely wrought.

The artist, who also wrote the accompanying book, feels that fae energies are real entities, and has created this deck to access these beings through the structure and magic of tarot. My feeling is that she was quite successful at this. These card fairly thrum with energy, and read quite easily. I feel that people who connect to faery would enjoy this deck, and with very little violence and no nudity, as well as the fantastical theme of the deck, most children and adults could use the deck. People who like the art style, which very much reminds me of black velvet paintings, should be easily to connect to the meanings of the cards, which while in the tradition of Waite Smith, have their own spin on the meanings. The Court Cards are possibly the least evocative in the deck, and people who need a lot of visual cues to read these cards may be somewhat disappointed with them.

The deck is divided into 22 Major Arcana, that feature Strength as Trump VIII and Justice as Trump XI, and four suits of the Minor Arcana: Wands, Cups, Swords, and Rings replacing Pentacles. The Court Cards are Page, Prince or Princess according to the polarity of the suit, Queen, and King. The cards measure in at 3.5 inches by 5 inches, quite a handful, and on glossy stock that could prove trying to shuffle. The backs are fully reversible, and the author includes meanings for the upside down cards, should you choose to read that way. The deck comes in a rectangular box with a space to snugly hold the deck, and a book featuring the artists' take on the meanings, which is beautifully imagined, and some basic tarot instructions, with a magnetic closure to keep the whole enterprise secure.
