"...a fresh approach to a familiar idea..."—Rocky Mountain News

"Most people only get a chance to see baseball in a handful of parks during a lifetime. The authors saw all of them and it shows."— Olympian

From the Back Cover

They’ve done it again! Years ago two baseball fanatics set out to create a comprehensive guide to all the diverse and fascinating ballparks throughout the country. What they created—part travel manual, part ballpark atlas, part baseball history book, part restaurant and city guide—is every baseball fan’s epic adventure. On this, their second Ultimate Baseball Road Trip, the authors updated their information on every venue from Boston to L.A., and they wrote brand new chapters for the brand new parks—the new Yankee Stadium, Philadelphia’s Citizens Bank Park, the new Busch Stadium in St. Louis, the Mets’ Citi Field, San Diego’s Petco Park, Nationals Park in Washington, D.C., the Twins’ Target Field, and Miami’s Marlins Ballpark.

Plus, they’ve added loads of information on how new technology has enhanced the fan experience and changed the game. And they’ve recorded their very own colorful real-time stories and dialogue at the parks, among the local fans, and hanging out in the Big League cities. It’s like you’re right there with Josh and Kevin watching the game and yucking it up!

Ticket and travel information • The best and worst seats in each park • Folklore and statistics on each park • Each park’s trademark foods • Profiles of nearby sports bars and baseball attractions • All the information you need to navigate Major League Baseball on the Internet!

Funny, irreverent, and loaded with more than 100 photos, The Ultimate Baseball Road Trip is the go-to guide for every fan’s armchair or real-life baseball road trip.

It's enjoyable to read, in no way is it a dry book of facts.

My family has visited over 20 baseball parks since the first edition of this book was published, so I was thrilled to see that an updated version of it was available. The information given in the book is very VERY useful when planning a trip to a park you've never been to, starting with what sections have the best seats (and which sections to avoid) when purchasing tickets, how to get there (including public transportation options), where to park if you drive, what foods to try (or avoid) while at the game, and especially all the information about the features in and around the ballpark. The true baseball fanatic will enjoy the historical information for each ballpark/team. It's enjoyable to read, in no way is it a dry book of facts. I highly recommend it for any fan planning a trip to a baseball park for a major league game.

I read the reviews prior to purchasing this book ...and expected a good product...but nothing this good. The details included are great not only on the ball parks themselves but the surrounding areas. The feedback is also geared to the "normal traveler" not people who live the lives of the "rich and famous". I also like how the authors included personal stories of interactions with friends and/or relatives they visited with in the different cities
and their local customs (foods, games, etc.). My husband and I like visiting new and different ball parks...and we are even more energized to continue our visits agfter receiving this book!

My husband and I have joined Red Sox nation and each year when the schedule comes out, we pick a different ballpark to visit to see the Red Sox play. We use this book as a guide to get an insight into the different stadiums and the food to eat and what to look for. We have visited 7 stadiums and look forward to going to all of them and using this book as our guide.

I used the hard copy to plan a baseball park road trip around the great lakes. It was very helpful in picking out good seats. I also downloaded an e-copy on my kindle for quick reference during the trip in finding good places to eat nearby the ballparks and what to eat and where to get drinks at the parks. The book is also enjoyable to read with historical notes and amusing stories about each ballpark.

Purchased this book for our grandson who is a complete baseball fanatic. At 8 years old he is coached by the high school baseball coach and plays in a traveling league. His parents want to take him to every major league baseball park before going to Cooperstown. This book contains information on each park both historical and current and lists great attractions in the vicinity of each park. All the men were reading the book at Christmas and sharing stories of their baseball experiences. I would highly recommend this book to any and all baseball enthusiasts.

Last year my brother visited three baseball stadiums and plans to visit more. So when I found this book I bought it for him. He was thrilled with not only information on the stadiums, but info on the area near the stadiums. - Places to eat , places to see, how to get around. Very complete.

I have a lot of baseball knowledge, but it's nothing compared to this book, which is full of relevant information regarding each team and each stadium. Even information on my home team that I thought I knew.

It's my only go-to book for planning stadium visits. Nothing comes close to it.

Good book lots of information! Would like to known more about the eats/drinks in an around the stadium and a little less history. All in all though if hitting the road to see ballparks it's a must have!
