If you're a teenager trying to survive those hard years, PLEASE read this.
If you're a teacher trying to make an impact in your students' lives, PLEASE get them this book.
If you're a parent trying to raise a healthy, happy, successful young adult, PLEASE read this book AND get it for your kid!!

Look, I'm an in-betweener. I'm not a teenager anymore, and I'm not a parent yet. I'm 24 years old. And I'm writing this as a very hard-working, very successful and VERY happy young guy. I feel very blessed to live the life I live. But it didn't happen by accident and it wasn't always like this... I REALLY wish I had this book growing up.

I've made all the mistakes: social and academic. I started off as a typical nerd with no social skills, no girlfriends, no leadership skills, nothing. I eventually figured it out on my own over a period of several years, but most of my friends from that time didn't, and their teen years were very hard for them... If I had this book back then, I would have figured it all out in a week! And if those old friends of mine had read it, they probably would have better social skills at work now, and they never would have been bullied around..

Later on I was a popular kid, but I also hung out with the wrong people and my grades and my goals were suffering because of it. I can't even tell you how easy it would have been to slip off and become a junkie or to start flunking school just by listening to those people.

In this book, Yahya teaches you about those traps and how to avoid them. And you CAN have both successes, you can be well-liked socially and also focused on your goals, be healthy and fit, and get great grades. It's actually easy once you know how it works, but figuring that out is HARD! No one teaches you that!!

Yes, it's true... Its not easy being a teenager. But that doesn't mean we can't enjoy being one. And Yahya teaches us how to do it in his own goofy, sincere and empowering way.

Tell you what else is true: Yahya is true... True to himself and to his readers. You can identify with each one of his anecdotes and principles because they're sincere.
As teens we don't want to be talked TO, we want someone who talks WITH us... That's Yahya.
Even though he's sharing his own knowledge and experience, the book is still about you: The Reader. You can't go wrong with buying this book! I've learned a lot about myself and those around me by reading it.

Being present today, right now, making the right choices is the best thing we could do for our future. Yahya lets us in a few secrets to seizing life and becoming secure, happy and successful. So in many ways, this book is not about being a better teen, it's about being a remarkable human being.
Teenager, parent, friend, brother, sister, teacher... Whatever role you may play: Go for it!!!... there are so many of us that still don't understand teenage life. We seem to have survived it, when we should have embraced it.

I would highly recommend this book for all teens out there as well as to their parents and teachers. The book is written in an easily accessible manner and one feels as though Yahya is talking right to you, the reader. He gives great advice in a way that makes it easy to follow, and leads the reader through the perils and pitfalls of the teen years. He talks about food, fitness, feelings, friends and family, freedom, focus, fear, the future, faith, forgiveness, etc. It is the ultimate self-help book for teens, written in a way that they can easily accept.

Yahya talks to teens like he is their big brother, sharing the mistakes he has made personally and the mistakes he has seen others in his life make. In this way, he is able to explain things in such a way that I can't imagine teens getting defensive about taking his advice. If you have a teen at home who rolls his or her eyes when you try to give him or her advice, this book is definitely one you want to purchase and hand over to your special teen! While you're at it, buy a copy for yourself so you can delve into some of these topics with your teen as they go through the book!

As a youth speaker and a mommy of soon-to-be a teenager, I LOVED reading Yahya's book. It is super easy and fun to read. The framework will appeal to teenagers and the language reflects the author's down-to-earth personality. I started reading the book and I could not put it down. Do me a favor...go ahead and purchase a copy for a teen in your life. Imagine how great it would be to empower a teen to become an amazing adult. The young people out there deserve to read this message that is sure to strike a chord with them. Don't deprive them!

Excellent read especially for me...a grown up teenager. After having 4 of my own...I was surprised at how well this book addressed sooo many of the issues that teenagers face today and how it helps them map out their own road to success. Its very inspirational and speaks to the reader in a way that makes sense, is on their level and is straight forward. Luckily I have one teenager left to give a copy to.

The teen years can be confusing, challenging, and overwhelming. Yahya addresses typical teen issues head-on and helps them find direction, confidence, and focus. I wish I had a guidebook like The Ultimate Guide to Teen Life when I was a teen. Inspirational and engaging, Yahya brings to life real stories that show what's possible when teens get great guidance and learn to follow their own inner guidance and believe in themselves. Excellent!
