Was very well done, however.

This film is encouraging to those of us who want to see the world change, who struggle with having open discussions with the religious, and who love science.
A. Segura
There wasn't as much debating as I thought there was going to be so that people can see or at least hear both sides of the argument.

Sometimes defending reason and science gets difficult. You have people who view you as arrogant and intolerant. It's a struggle between being factual and direct and taking people's fragile feelings into account. I've had a few relationships become strained and possibly lost because I don't believe as they do. The feeling when someone twists your words and doesn't try to understand what you're saying whatsoever is isolating and frustrating.

This film is encouraging to those of us who want to see the world change, who struggle with having open discussions with the religious, and who love science. Dawkins, Krauss and others have changed my life in such profound ways it's difficult to put it into words. I cried a bit when I saw the impact it's had on others, when I see that people are excited about it the way I am, when I see that I'm not as isolated as sometimes I feel I am.

The Unbelievers is a fascinating look at two scientists and their passionate response to religious belief around the world. The film captures it's two stars as they answer the call to travel the world and awaken us to the beauty of science and debunk beliefs that are rooted in ancient middle-eastern mysticism. Gus and Luke Holwerda have created a fantastic work that has captured what may have been a pivotal time in history - Highly Recommended!

"The Unbelievers" sets out to dare tread the thin ice that surrounds the worlds deepest philosophical questions; namely that of science and religion. With remarkable clarity and wit, Richard Dawkins (evolutionary biologist) and Lawrence Krauss (theoretical physicist) embark on a worldwide campaign to spread ... well, the truth! Throughout the film they confront key social and political issues in science and religion, and how these issues are governed. I came out as an "unbeliever" about 12 years ago, and besides it being a tremendously liberating experience, it was also a necessary and crucial point of emphasis in my personal development as an individual. I highly encourage everybody take part (with an open mind), this most momentous collective effort by some of the two leading scientists in the world.

I have been waiting to see this since I first heard about it, I think 3 years ago? a long time to wait but it was everything I expected, I think everyone not just non believers needs to see this, hopefully they will at least then be aware that there are more of us than they thought, and they might learn something about science in the process.

I am the target audience. I have seen the full versions of many of the appearances in the documentary and enjoyed them all. Your time will not be wasted watching this and I bet you'll enjoy the variety of contributors. The content is excellent and you definitely come away appreciating the commitment of Laurence and Richard.

It was my hope, somewhat unfairly and selfishly, that this documentary might be a highly compelling piece that could match the "must watch" documentaries that other subjects like Climate Change, Food Production and Species Decline all have. Since the energy and pace of contemporary documentaries is so much higher than this piece it was a bit disappointing. I would still recommend it to any inquisitive friend.

I love both these men and the work they do, but there was painfully little of them actually speaking in this film. I suppose if you were a Dawkins "groupie" you might have enjoyed watching him nap on a train, or watch tv in his hotel room, or shake hands and sign autographs.
Not me. I want to hear these men share their ideas and thoughts.
Disappointing.
