Book Description

When the hero becomes the villain!

Upon his return to Terah, Gaelan True-Blood's first act as Protector is to use his new-found power to destroy the immortal Lord and Lady of Terah.

Horrified by what Gaelan has done, Ariel Boreen and her unicorn companion Michael wonder what has driven her childhood friend to attempt to resurrect an ancient evil. Barely escaping with their lives, Ariel and Michael embark on a quest to fight against the monster Gaelan seems to have become.

Again, the Never-Born appears to guide their fight. But Ariel has doubts about the mysterious being. Is he trying to save Terah, or hasten its destruction?

An Epic Fantasy and an Unconventional Urban Fantasy

The Never-Born is a fantasy trilogy in the vein of the classics that mixes the elements of epic fantasy as well as a light take on urban fantasy. Expect the unexpected, while reading a story rooted in myth and legend. Experience the familiar wonders of legend in new ways. From the fiery rage of a unicorn to the shocking origin of a god-like being. The Never-Born aims to bring the fun and excitement back to fantasy story-telling.

5.0 out of 5 stars A satisfying second installment March 1, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
All of our favorite characters from book one are back, though not exactly as we remember them. You'll find yourself angry and thrilled in turn as the plot twists and turns.

As you would expect from a book two, some of the freshness of the original is missing, and at times the world which felt cozy in the first installment starts to seem confining. By the end, though, as more details of the plot are revealed, that falls by the wayside.

I enjoyed returning to Tera and spending more time with these characters. You'll definitely want to have read the first book before jumping into this one, which ends with a cliffhanger. In other words it's a trilogy, folks!

If you enjoyed book one, this latest installment is definitely worth buying.

More About the Author

As a kid, I read fantasy novels to escape from the darkness of real life. I must have gone to those places to live, because, as I grew up, I found that I could only find myself in the fantastic worlds of my imagination. I explore these worlds. Telling you about them -- writing about them -- takes me to the only place where I can be who I really am. Reading them will take you to new worlds where you will go on action-packed adventures with new friends.
