Dick Dale is known as the father of surf guitar, and with good reason. This CD just makes you want to abandon all your hang-ups, and dance with wild abandon.

A lot of the riffs reminded me of other surf music greats such as The Ventures and The Beach Boys. If you like that kind of music, you'll love Dick Dale.

I love this album. Dick Dale is a phenomenal guitar player. The only problem is that the MP3s are not that great of quality. The bitrate is only 199kbps, making it sounds kind of muddy.

This CD really showcases some of Dick Dale's best work. If you only buy one of his CDs, this should be the one. You won't be disappointed.

What a fun cd. I just kind of picked this up on a whim since I like Los Straightjackets and Man or Astroman and Dick Dale is a pioneer of this same style of surf music. The sound is more modern than I thought it would be and rocking. I can't believe this is from the early 60's. Who would listen to Beach Boys over this? Who would listen to Beatles over this?

What more can one say about ; "The Very Best of Dick Dale" ...he' was the one most of us use to listen to when we were kids back in high school days .. that was in the 60's... Great sounds back then and still are to this day... lot of the oldie's from Surf'n day are on this record as well to.

just what I was looking for, most, if not all of, his biggest/best hits, not a lot of filler/fluff, good listening.

The very definition of a genre. The sound quality is good and songs are timeless. Thrust your hips like a strange jungle bird and squawk at your friends.

Oh yeah, every song on this album rocks the house. Tremendous energy and style. You want this album if your looking for that version of Miserlou from Pulp Fiction and not the original recordings from the sixties.
No doubt those early recordings are sweet and a collector's must. However I myself love the psychedelic power of these rerecordings. So awesome!

Growing up in Southern. California in the sixties, Dick Dale was a local hero. The music on this album is a great representation of his music at that time. I would have liked more of his recent material though. The sound os very good and Dale's reverbless reverb comes through. A very enjoyable trip down memory lane.
