Although the lesser known works of authors are usually lesser known for a reason, this one is a hidden gem. It is a good adventure about explorers in Africa who come upon a semi-civilized population of ape-men. Inspired by Darwin, it was an amusing story and far more interesting than many of Verne's novels.

I got this for my husband who is a huge Jules Verne fan and it's very difficult to find. It arrived in very good condition and protected by a plastic wrapper.
